| hi debs, you're not meant to use first morning urine with opk, only with hpt. For opk it's best to test in the afternoon (i read somewhere that approx 2pm is the best time) and they say to test at same time each day. apparently if you test too early the hormones might be present but not show up as they are overpowered (not sure what correct term is) by other hormones. also if you test in morning it could show as negative yet if you test in afternoon it could show as positive so if you test in morning you could miss your window
