Clomid

Ok has anyone else out there had success with Clomid or know of someone who has? My dr put me on a low dose of 50mg a day for cd5 through cd9(today is cd 5 and I took my first dose). He told me to BD on days 10 through 20 every other day. My cycles are 30 days(which the dr knows) and I have no idea what day ovulation would end up being around(and yes I am charting but doc also said that bbt isnt always accurate to tell when ovulation happening) which is what we are trying to ensure happens so I can conceive.(hopefully) I guess one of my biggest concerns is that if the Clomid does dry up my cervical fluid as the dr said it might then is there still any way that I can get preggers?? I'm worried about trading one problem for another basically. I know I'm a worrywart I admit it!
Has anyone else come up against this problem? Anybody have any advice on what to do about that if it happens?? This is my first time trying this way and I'm really hoping and praying that it will work for me! Ok I'll shutup now.

Kimberley: (sorry if I spelled it wrong)

I took clomid cycle day 2 through 6. I'm currently on cd 28 and I do chart my BBT. It is true what your doctor said about BBT. Also I have noticed the my temp is everywhere due to the Clomid. You might ovulate without your chart ever detecting ovulation soley on temps. The best thing to do is bd every other day from cd 10 to cd 20. What I did was I used OPK's and when they turned positive I bd'ed a few night in a row.

I have heard of many stories of women getting pregnant on the first three months of clomid. U may or may not get pregnant that first cycle. Also you amy or may not even ovulate on the first round of clomid.

I wish you all the best and lots of baby dust!

I've just started my first course of clomid. CD2 for me today and had my first one this morning.
I'm having the AF from hell so not sure if it's that that's making me feel unwell or the clomid but i've had the worse hot flushes today feels like i'm going through the change - it's very worrying - all i can say is i'm glad i'm away with work or my poor fella would hate me we'd never end up bding! haha
I've heard a lot of good things about clomid and a lot of pregnancies from it so i'm staying hopeful on this one.
good luck with your first cycle!

I finished my first round of Clomid just over a week ago. I never really found that it dried up my CM much, if at all, but you can buy something called "Preseed Lubricant" and it helps spermies! Just google it and you can locate where you can buy it. You have to squirt it up yur woohoo, but it is quite nice actually.

If you're worried about not having enough fertile CM try some pre-seed.

Quick Update...

Ok so I took my first dose today and so far only side effects I'm noticing are lower back aches(just enough to bother me but not put me totally out of commission) and left ovary pain however mild. So I'm hoping that that means that its working! Cross your fingers and I guess we will see as we go. That's it for now.
