Need advice please

Okay, here's my long story. Sorry.

my dp and I have been ttc for awhile. I had a chemical pregnancy back in June of this year and my cycles have been erratic ever since. I used to ovulate between cd 15-17 with a 28-30 day cycle before the pregnancy and now I seem to be ovulating somewhere between days 18-21 with a cycle of 33-34 days. The weirdest part is that my luteal phase went from a decent 13-15 days to barely 12 days. I've been taking vitamin B6 this month, which is supposed to help. Still waiting to see if it does anything. I'm 12 dpo today and had a this morning, followed by heavy cramping. No yet though.

I've spoken with my doctor who doesn't seem overly concerned at all, but my partner is much older than me and so our ttc time is somewhat limited. I've been ruled out for pcos and everything seems to check out normally. Has anyone else had this happen after a failed pregnancy?

Sorry to be so long-winded. Thanks for any advice.

how much older is your partner hun? mine's 12 years older than me and i've been doing reading up and seen that although men's fertility decreases after age of about 35/36 its very slow (much slower than a woman) so not too much of a problem...what i'm getting at is don't stress yourself too much about the age factor else if it takes longer than you hope you may find you start blaming him for being older and it could cause bad feeling and resentment

i'm sorry i can't help with the actual technical info on your query, though girls on here seem to be taking agnus cactus to regulate their cycles

Thanks for your help wishingonastar!

He's about 16 years older than me. I'm not too worried about it, but he doesn't want to try forever because he wants to be able to enjoy his children and doesn't think he will if he waits too much longer. I do understand, although I desperately want children.

Hiya, Nicole,

sorry to hear about the chemical pg. I have to say my cycles changed somewhat after my mc. But i also have to admit i wasnt that bothered as i went from a 30-31 day cycle to a 28-29 day cycle. My lp stayed the same.

The only annoying thing... it has played havoc with my cbfm and the poor thing is not quite sure whether im coming or going tbh as ive suddenly (last month and not before i started getting convinced i may be pg again !!) reverted to my old 30 day cycle...good grief!. Even ran out of sticks last month!! lol!!

Anyway, as far as i know these things do happen...also, dont worry about your lp its fine!!

All the best, hun!

, Omi xxx
