what does ovulation feel like?

hi guys just a quickie...this is my first cycle of tracking ovulation and i've been having EWCM for few days so figure i'm due to ovulate very soon. at the mo i've just started having uncomfortable 'jabbing' pains to left side of abdomen...is this likely to be ovulation?

i'm wheat intolerant and often have dodgy feelings and pangs in my stomach as a result cos i don't avoid wheat but as this is the right time of month and to one side i'm wondering if it's the egg being released or just my guts playing up! sorry tmi! lol

your symptoms shared would be appreciated ladies

I always get a very sharp stabbing pain on one side that lasts about a day. Then, just achy for the next day or so.

Sounds like it could be hun. Have you tried using OPK's??

I get really bad OV pains...stabbing in one side of my abdomen. I even went to the docs about it cos I didnt know what it was!! That was before we were TTC!!

I know I am before I even test. I get my pains a couple of days before I OV and also get EWCM.

thanks guys thats really helpful...it's amazing how much you don't know about your body! was only saying on here on another thread that before i was TTC i didn't know what EWCM was and thought i had an STI cos they always say to look out for thick discharge and all the time it was just me being fertile! lol

i haven't started using opk's yet as didn't know how successful they were, but i think i may purchase some prior to next month's ovulation so i can keep tabs on it...

Yea, the OPK's are useful. Especially after I came off BCP in July and wanted to know when and if I was OV'ing!!

I started using ic tests but never got a +ve with them. Tried a Clearblue Digi and got a Smiley face!! It was worth the money (£22) you get 7 tests with it and I think they are more reliable. If you are getting the pains and EWCM thats a really good sign and you need to get

!!
When I was getting the EWCM a few months ago before TTC I was like 'what the hell is that!!' and ive told some of my friends since (who arent trying) and they didnt know what it was either!!
