Hi everyone

Our son was stillborn in January and we have been ttc again for a few months with no luck.

So this month, against my better judgement I have been POAS to see if we can pinpoint ovulation. Day 18 today of maybes 32/33 day cycle. There is no sign of a line at all. But (TMI time) today I have some EWCM. There has been a change from watery cm to more like ewcm today.

So, what I am wondering is if it is possible to be ov but not having a positive stick. We will keep DTD anyway but very curious. A bit anxious as last month managed a 32 day cycle- had 40 and 49 previously. Awfully scared that I am just not ovulating. Im 32.

hi there...i dont know the answer to ur Q sry...but i just wanted 2 tell u after i had a mc in mar08 instead of my usuall 29day cycles ive had 2 29day cycles after mc ...then a 38day cycle(werent charting then) then a 30 day cycle and O on cd15,last mth again a37day cycle, ive recentley been told ive low estrogen and might not be O at all,just gearing up 4 it,so im aving cd21 tests done again on 1oct n if the same i;ll have 2 see a gyne n prob start clomid...i was horrifid as im 27,maybe u shud av so test to give u peace of mind

Im so sorry about your son. That must have been awful.

Which OV tests are you using? I was using some cheap ebay ones and I never got a +ve with them. I knew I was Ov'ing cos I get pain in my side. I bought a CB Smiley one and got a +ve that day.

Its good that you have EWCM though, thats usually a sign.

thanks. Not ovulating is my biggest worry- will give to when next AF comes and if it does, and not pg, will go and see our GP. I fell with Bobo in 6 weeks....so this going on for almost 6 months is pretty hard. I think that as we are now 8 months on from his birth, my body should have settled back from the shock somewhat. this ttc business is awfully hard.

I am not a big POAS fan, but have read in these forums on many occasions that you can ovulate but not get a positive line, cos there is a narrow time in which it is positive and you may miss it.

The other thing is how many days do you normally get ewcm for? Cos if its 4 days for example, then you wouldnt expect the stick to be pos til tmrw if today was your first day of it.

At least I think thats right, but am happy to stand corrected by opk experts...!
