I'm Currently Feeling: | absolutely gutted Hi everyone ...
Me and Chris have been TTC for about a month now. We have spent a lot of time talking and making sure that this is the right step for us.
This morning I woke up and I'm pretty sure that my has arrived. Just waiting for it to get a bit heavier because it was very light.
I texted Chris to let him know and he says we should wait for a few days in case it's implantation bleeding, but I daren't even consider that, really don't want to get my hopes up. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I don't know how it works out, I'm not too clever when it comes to things like that, espescially as I don't have extremely regular periods (sorry TMI), but I last started one on the 27th or 28th of August, if that is any help lol | | | | Status: Offline

| Aww, I'm glad your OH is so positive! I can understand you're totally gutted though. And if it was indeed time for your AF, it's likely it is AF. You've only been TTC for 1 cycle, don't forget you're only fertile for a couple of days in that month. I'll help you hope for a BFP, but don't be disheartened if you have to wait a couple of months. It doesn't mean there's something wrong... it just takes time for some of us.
If your last period started on August 28th that means you're on CD20 now. If I counted correct that is.
If you have irregular cycles however, it could mean an early AF. However, implantation bleeding isn't out on CD20 either. |

He even started talking names the other day.
So if this is the dreaded then do I start counting from today for my cycle?
Keeping my fingers crossed that we are lucky and it is implantation bleeding, it would be the best thing ever. If not, I know it's not the end of the world and we'll keep trying | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | if you're on cd 20 and you have irregular bleeds then it may well be implantation bleeds.
all depends on when you ovulated really |

| Yes, if today is indeed AF your cycle will start today. CD1 is the first day of a full bleed... so spotting (small amounts of brown-ish blood when wiping, not enough to show up on a pad) doesn't count. First full on blood is supposed to be your first day of cycle. A lot of ladies here spot for 3 days before their cycle starts and AF comes around.
So...
CD1 - First real blood
CD9 - When most women start BD (baby dancing, sex) to increase chances of getting pregnant.
CD14 - In an average cycle it's usually around now that you ovulate. If you start taking your BBT (basal body temperature) the ovulation usually shows by a dip in temperature and the next day a raise, with your temperature staying high until AF shows up again. Your BBT should be taken first thing in the morning (before you even get up) and at the same time every day to be accurate.
CD28 - Around then you usually see your temperature drop again, and start spotting or have AF come around.
But like said, that's supposed to be the average cycle. If I look around here, there's not all that many whose body has been taught this, and most have a very different cycle from this. Heck, look at me ... I'm on CD57 at the moment because AF is refusing to show! |
