I'm Currently Feeling:

Anyone else TTC after implant?

Having a bit of a weird one, wondering if anyone else has TTC after being with implanon implants?

It's been out for a month now & I had it out late (not my fault I may add, I wanted it out months ago)

I've been very crampy & drained for a few days, but still no sign of AF. (CD 37 now)

I've charted this months anyway, but can't help thinking its just a dummy run until I have a 'full' cycle.

Anyone else had any luck? Or heaven forbid, anyone had any fertility issues after using it?

Dani xx

Hi Dani!

I used implanon and mine was removed in April. I had my first AF 35 days later - and have always had a 30 - 40 day cycle. No yet - but I don't think it's caused any infertility issues.

I did a lot of reading up before getting the implant in the first place, and have not heard of any fertility issues associated with it. (one reason why I chose it over the depo for example!)

Have heard of a few people get pg pretty soon after having implanon removed - so good luck!!

I had the Implanon removed in January and had normal 32 day cycles afterwards. (They're f*cked up now but thats a different story!)
Some doctors do recommend waiting 3 months for cycles to "stabilise" but there isn't really a need to do that if you're charting.

My doc told me we could try straight away - but we waited for AF to show. xx

Thanks KGB, thats very encouraging I had my first one put in when my FP clinic was running a trial on them, but had no problems (apart from getting them out!) so stuck with them as BC until now.

Vickie, when I finanally managed to get mine removed the nurse said wait 2-3 cycles, but the doctor who removed it said beacuse it was late out anyway, I'd probably been fertile to some extent & not even known it for a year!! She then said get on the folic acid asap, don't waste any time & start trying right away!!

I've had a very small amount of spotting in my CM lat night & this morning, so it may well be my first 'real' AF on the way! Quite exciting! (sad I know, lol)

Kaygeebee, have you been TTC for long?
