i told work that it was a "complete, unplanned shock" - it sounded better for them, than to say we were trying!
But we knew the truth - you do whats right for you. If you want to tell them -do! Good luck! x |
Im in the same dilemma as above. I had a mc in feb and have since gotten enganged. Oh's parents want to chip in for the wedding and oh says we're gonna have to tell them in case we do get pg as its gonna be a bit of a shock, lol!
I told 2 people i was pg and and about 3 people knew before that, that we were trying, mainly my mum and a couple of friends who are also ttc. Since the mc we have told a few more people..well, its a bit obvious now aint it,lol!
Apart from that its on a need to know basis really. people who have similar issues i usually tell, even if strangers as its nice to share and not feel like a freak if its taking some time, i mean!
I had a difficult time with the 'no drinking' as im
never one to say no to a drink so was practically a recluse while pg (obviously i was gonna tell when 12 weeks..alas never got that far, but thats the plan in the future as well.)
I drank mineral water or tonic water with slice of lime- fake g&t or vodka & t, lol! Otherwise, we told a few lies like 'on medication'..lol!! Its funny having to turn all sneaky..like 'no, its ok, ill get myself a drink'!! Lol!! I will say this much..stay out of your local (i.e. regular pub/bar) if you can cause thats were i had to tell the lies, as everyone knows me there!!!
Good luck everyone!!
