On the 4th of September I had some blood loss, I've had brown old blood several times now ... but this was fresh and enough to actually show up on the pad. Once. Really wanting my cycle to end I wrote it down as 'Light' menstrual, but the more I think about it the more tempted I get to change it to 'spotting'. So question really is, when is something spotting and when does it turn to menses?

Really don't wanna change it to spotting really, as that will mean I'm now in my 50's somewhere when it comes to cycle days =( But honestly, it was a 1 off occurance that didn't even last a day, heck not even half a day. So being truthful, it wasn't AF was it?

Yup, 2 of them ... both BFN. Last one was on tuesday the 2nd, and the one before that on thursday the 28th of August. Don't really want to take another one as I know it will simply be negative like the others =) I've got no symptoms what so ever, and both those tests should have showed up as BFP if I had been I think. Though I'm still not sure if I did ovulate, and if I did when.

I took my test strips with me on hols, so I might do another test tomorrow morning then =) Not keeping high hopes for it, but I've got them waiting in the bag not being used anyway. lol

If anyone can think of anything else that might be going on, please let me know as I'm so tired of waiting for AF =( I'm still blaming it on having come off birth control 'only' 4 months ago. Just hoped it would have sorted itself out by now

Changed my 'light' to 'spotting' *sigh*. So I'm now on CD 52

It took me a while to ovulate after BCP as well. Keep hoping!

If you don't ovulate, how would you tell? And would you still get AF if you didn't ovulate? Plus doesn't the fact that my temperature didn't stay high mean there's no chance of pregnancy?

Hi, according to TCOYF if your temp doesn't stay high then unfortunatey its prob not PG. Btw, has anything changed in this cycle, were you stressed? sick, travel or even take some vitamins etc which could all lenghten your cycle by making Ov late. I know with me I got so super stressed last cycle it has caused my current cycle to overrun into 30 odd days now but my CBFM told me that I only OV last week. The frustrating thing is you may only have had spotting and there may still be hope. Wishing you luck and

Nope, far as I'm aware nothing changed. Well, I did travel ... but to my parents house only 1 hour flight away and we do so every month and a half. So I doubt that would be anything to do with it. I'm more and more starting to think my cycle simply isn't even close to sorting itself out yet from the birth control pill. The first month I was pretty on time, but my 2 cycles after that have been out of wack. The second very short and the third super long with 18 day menses. I shall wait and try to be patient.

As for pregnancy with low BBT, I was reading up on it last night and aparantly while uncommon it is possible. I've read of 2 ladies that got pregnant and whose body temperature didn't raise, it does however indicate a low progesterone (P4) which wouldn't be good. Still, I took another sample and will do another test in a minute ... though certain it will be BFN
