In the company I work for, I am the assistant manager of a home for adults with developmental disabilities....my manager of the house is the one who got me the position, and we work VERY well together...I love work..

He just called and said he was let go, but that he has found another job. I wont go into details, but trust me its STUPID! he was the best manager they had!!!

Now I am freaking out...should I be looking for a new job? Am I next? Whats going on aaahhhhh...


and on top of it all I might be preg, which i really want...but I want things to be perfect

Huge hugs to you, i am sure everything will work out for you, but no you don't sound stupid, we all things to be perfect when we fall pregnant, i know it's hard but just try to relax, getting stressed won't help. Will keep everything crossed for you x

Don't quit the job yet. If you are pg, than a new job would add 2 new big stressors to your life. One thing at a time!

I guess if I am preg I just need to stick it out a few more months then Id go on mat leave...but Im super nervous...I dont want a new manager

Wait it out for the Mat leave $.... You have to put your hours in to make sure you get the most $ you can while you are on leave.
On the flip-side.... if the situation continues to get worse, GET OUT! because stress will be no good to TTC or when you are PG.
If you live in Calgary, I have a contact for the old company I used to work for (Day program for PwDD...) Let me know! Or follow your old manager wherever he goes!
