CBFM - Help please!!

Can one of you guys please explain something to me???

When the monitor gives us a PEAK reading does that mean those 2 days are our peak fertility days? (as in - the 2 days we are most likely to conceive)

or does it work in the same way as an OPK which gives you the peak telling you that you will probably Ov the following day??

Im soooo confused!!!

Got my PEAKs on CD14/15 but FF just moved my Ov date & reckons I didn't Ov until CD16 which would mean we didn't BD at the right time coz we'd just done 9 days in a row & were bloody sick of it!!! ARGHHHHH!!!

Can someone please shed some light on this for me?

Thanks xx

I had 5 days of HIGH readings followed by 2 PEAKs (BD on all these days) then back to HIGH for 1 day, then LOW ever since so I just wondered am I more likely to fall pregnant by BDing on my PEAK days?? surely I must be eh? but FF says I didn't Ov until the day after the PEAKs (when I didn't BD)

This is sooooo confusing! xx

It's not just me then!

I was just about to start a thread called how many DPO am I?? Because my OPK was most strongly positive on Saturday eve, then peak on CBFM Sun and Mon. Not really sure when I ovulated!

Can anyone shed some light on this please??

Hey girls,
I am no expert but have been using mine for 5 cycles. The way it has been explained to me is that the first day of peak is your warning and the second day should be your O date. If you BD those days and get a crosshair on FF the next day you should be fine, the little guys will be waiting for the eggo to drop.
It seems a little confusing when you use the CBFM and FF, they don't always mesh on the exact date. I was a little skeptical this past month because I went from low to peak and it was about 5 days earlier than I normally O, well sure enough it was my O so I am convinced that the monitor knows what it is talking about.
Just try and BD every other day during your highs and then as many days as you can in a row when you get your first peak. Hope this helps, and like I said, not an expert on it or anything so I he some of the other girls will drop you a line too. Good luck lovey.

Both times I fell pregnant using CBFM (1st time was a chemical pregnancy) we BD'd on the first peak day (late that night), none during the high days and none on the 2nd peak day. Seemed to be timed pretty well for us.

Id say you probably Ov'd sometime between Sun/Mon then? so you'll be around 3 or 4 DPO - its very confusing isn't it?? xx

Yeah it is!! I assumed I was 5DPO but now am thinking I might only be 3DPO which is irritating as it means I have to wait even longer now to POAS
