NHS are rubbish!!!!

OMG - just when i thought things were going well i have to live in the UK dealing with the crabby NHS!!!
I'm suppose to be going to see my gp tonight to get my first prescription for clomid.
In order for my GP to do this she needs guidence from the gyne.
I was given comfirmation of this on the 28th August so thought i'd give it a couple of weeks to see GP as it might take a little while to get that over. so i called this morning to confirm it was all there guess what . . . it's not!

called the gyne's secretary she's on leave - great!
called the other secretary - nothing on the system so she asks me to call another secretary in the building to find my file.
There's no letter recommending clomid treatment just a post it note on my file saying yes!

I stressed how much heart ache it's taken me to get this far given that 2 months ago i was told my only option was IVF. Said that i'm seeing my GP tonight and i want answers. So she's going to try and see the gyne today and see if she can get a letter sent across as urgnetly as possible but it might not be today! What a bloody nightmare!!!!

she said she would give it to me once gyne had given recommendation something to do with PCT guidelines as it's fertility treatment. so i'm hoping given that she know's its a yes she may have spoken to the secretary and it all be ok. you never know this secretary i called earlier may be shit hot and have sorted everything but knowing the gyne he's probably not signed the letter!

Oh God, how awful. Do these people not realise that we spend every waking minute thinking about these things and that 2 months is an absolute lifetime to wait for something like this!!

If I were you I would be phoning that secretary everyday until you get what you want - a little bit of pressure can work wonders!! Thinking of you x

I've screamed and shouted enough at her today that i hope the letter is sitting on my GPs desk by the time i get there tonight if it's not i'll explain the situation to dr and she can look after it as she was the one that was suppose to call them in the first place.
Fingers crossed for 5.10pm tonight!
