What time of day do you test with your OPK?

Hey everyone!

So it's CD12 and I'm expecting to OV today or tomorrow.

I would love to know what time of day you test using your OVK.

I bought the CB ones this month and hope to see a smiley face soon.

I also have some "leftover" ones from "Answer" and I use those typically in the afternoons seeing as I use the CB OVK first thing in the morning.

Do any of you do it at a time *other* than your FMU?

Do OPKs *not* work for any of you even though you know you've OV'd?

Thanks!
JM

i'd also like to know this...

i heard you shoudn't use OPK first thing in the morning.. althou the one i bougth from sainsburys didn't say not to... but what is funny is... every time i use it first thing i get a strong line. I'm thinking it's the morning wee and not that i'm ovulating. Also i've heard you shoudln't drink anything for a few hours (like 3) prior to testing...

Is there a good time to test?

sorry i couldn't help..

You shouldn't use FMU because the LH surge starts early in the morning (so you'll get highest levels late morning or afternoon). And don't drink too much for a couple of hours before so your urine is concentrated x

Thank you for your replies! I thought I had heard *not* to use FMU, but since I use it for HPTs - thought it made sense to do the same for OVKs. Hoping for a positive this afternoon (or at least in the next few days!!)
