I'm Currently Feeling: | I'd push her for some basic bloods as Wobbles said... its the first step. Let her know what's on your mind and ask those questions that have been floating around. Even the ones you'd feel embarrassed for asking outloud. It really can do loads to help you feel better. Ask for counseling if you need to.
I'm very sorry for your loss, I hope that the doc can help ease your mind a bit. Try not to put too expect all definate answers on some things... they just don't know. For me this was the hardest part. Take care of yourself.

| So sorry for your losses. The only thing that comes to mind is waiting a cycle or two before trying again. It may give your lining a chance to grow. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | maybe before you go today write down a few points that you want to discuss, so that you dont feel you are being pushed out to quickly, you could perhaps ask for an internal ultrasound to check your lining has cleared and as others have said early cycle blood tests and day 21 blood tests to check you are O ing.
if you are feeling distressed after your MC's perhaps you could ask to be signed off for a week or 2 so taht you can relax and grieve.
good luck at the docs - let us know how it goes |

| I hope you got on OK at your appointment today. It's very sad for you to have gone through so much in such a short time and I do hope you find a way to cope with your loss. It can't be easy for either of you and it would be brilliant if you could get some answers. However, there may not be any as it just might be a case of your body just not being quite ready and nature taking it's course. I do hope your doctor lets you have some blood tests because that may help you feel like you are getting closer at least to any answers.
Other than that all I can wish for is that your body settles down very quickly and that you are both blessed with a little miracle very soon. That is as soon as you are both ready.
Best wishes and take care of yourselves. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Get your progesterone levels checked.
Especially if there are 10 or less day between the day you ovulate and the first day of your period (in a normal cycle). |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi
Thought I'd give you an update. Saw my GP yesterday. She is such a lovely lady. She didn't tell me anything I don't already know but was so kind and supportive. She did say that the olde worlde textbook would tell me to wait 3 periods before trying again but she'd noticed my age on my notes (I'm 37) and feels that I don't have much time to hang around (harsh but ultimately true). So she's advised I wait for one proper period and then try again. She said there's no reason to suggest I would miscarry again and that it's probably my body doing it's job in weeding out the bad eggs. If however, I miscarry again, she will immediately refer me for testing.
She told me what sort of tests they would look to carry out if it happens again but told me not to worry about it as we're not at that stage and hopefully it won't come to that.
I went straight from the appointment to the gym and pounded out a couple of miles on the dreadmill and found myself singing along to the radio on the way home! Haven't done that in a while.
So I'm a long way off being 100% but feeling more positive and happy that I have a plan of action.
Thank you all for your messages and support. You are a great counselling service! | | | | Status: Offline
