I'm Currently Feeling: | Here's some info too:
For male fertility eat healthy and moderate exercise is good. Avoid caffeine, MSG, fried foods, hydrogenated oils , tobacco, and alcohol. Use a multi--vitamin/mineral supplement containing selenium, zinc, CO Q10, B12, C, and E; these all help quantity, health, and quality of sperm. You can use a whey protein powder in a shake each day for amino-acids which also help sperm count and health. The amino-acid carnitine can be used separately for sperm energy, quantity, and motility. Follow directions carefully, using too much of certain supplements can be dangerous. Always see your physician before starting any new supplements.
I hope this helps!!
PS. I think it's very sweet that your on BNB and asking questions to help you and your wife concieve! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | There are plenty of things our partners can do (apart from the obvious!) cutting out the caffene and alcohol as much as possible, giving up smoking and taking a multivitamin with folic acid are normally the top three! It takes 3 months for you to make sperm so keeping up with all these for a while is important.
We're taking the Sanatogen his/hers vitamins. They mostly contain the same except His have 400ug of Folic and 15mg Zinc.
Apart from those there's the wearing loose underwear, taking cool showers, not sitting with a laptop on your lap etc.
The most helpful thing my DH has done is take an interest in all my temperature charting, ovulation testing and general obsessing! Just being able to talk to him about it has actually made me feel a lot less stressed about the whole process, whic can only be a good thing for you both.
It's really lovely to see a guy on here! Good luck |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi, I have my DH taking vitamins which have folic acid and lots of other goodies. I read that folic acid was definitely good for men in that it reduces chances of chromosomal abnormalities but the link is not as strong as for women. But do read up on it as I'm not sure how much they are spose to take if its the same as us (400mcg?). I just bought DH a branded vitamin pack to solve this dilemma.
One thing I deffo got DH to do is to stop riding his bicycle until after OV.
Good luck. | | | | Status: Offline
