Question about the CBFM...

I'm not on the Clearblue study but I do have a CBFM which I started using for the first time this cycle. I started using it on CD6 and have been 'asked' to POAS every day except CD11. I'm now on CD19 and so far, everyday it's been showing 'high'.... no lows or peaks. I'm just wondering if this is the norm and has anyone else had this???

I do have irregular cycles, so I've no idea when I OV (using opk's and temping, as well as the CBFM just so I can compare ) but i would've thought there would be some change... maybe it's still trying to figure out what my body's up to and will sort itself out next cycle...

Hi TP

This is also my first cycle using CB. I cheated a little and started on day 6 but said it was day 5 hehe, couldnt wait another month!! Anyway, I have had to POAS everyday from day 6 or 7, then today is day 16 on CBFM and it's the first day I haven't had to. I've been at high since day 10, and peak was yesterday and it's still at peak today (so more bd'ing tonight for me!) I was expecting to have to POAS every single day this cycle, so would also be interested to see what happened on other peoples first cycle!

From my own experience, I'm now on Day 19 and I have used a stick every day since Day 6. I was under the impression, once the cbfm knows your cycle you should be asked for ten stciks, but obviously on the first cycle it is either 10 - 20 sticks depending on the length. I'm not sure why you weren't ask to test for just one day. It seems like a mistake to me.

Hi all, it's my first month too with the CBFM. I started POAS on day 6 and have had highs since day 10 (I'm CD16 now). Was hoping I'd get a peak today but it wasn't to be. Looks like it's going to be another long cycle for me, or maybe no peak at all (I thought I'd be happy just to get a "high", but now I'm desperate for a "Peak"). I thought having the monitor would take the stress out of TTC but I think, this month, it's been worse than ever!

Hi everyone

If it is your 1st (or maybe even 1st couple) of months using the CBFM it takes a while for the machine to get to know ur cycle and work out ur highs and peaks. It says in the booklet you may not get a peak in the first month. Peaks would be lovely straight off but I think u don't need to panic if you don't get them initially - well thats what I am trying to do.

This is my 2nd month using the CBFM and no peaks yet - however my first month in May /June I only got highs & lows, didn't finish my 20 sticks (went on hols) and got a BFP (but had a loss at just under 6 weeks). So I feel and have heard from other ladies a high is good, ur getting more fertile and can still get a BFP with a high.

Being asked to use 10 or 20 sticks depends on the lenght of ur cycle and when ur ovulation occurs. However once you start using the sticks (usually between day 6 and 9) the machine should ask for a stick for 10 or 20 days in a row. So ticklepink it seems really strange that it didn't ask you for a stick on one day.

This month I started my 1st stick on day 9 and got highs from day 14 onwards. No peaks in sight and hasn't gone back to low yet and its day 26. I have a bit longer cycle 33 days and think I will always have to use 20 sticks everytime (expensive!!).

Good luck to everyone hope we all see peaks and BFP's very soon.
