I'm Currently Feeling:

Are these symptoms?

Hi ladies,

I'm a first time poster, so apologies in advance if I don't use the correct terminology. I've been ttc for 8 months now.

My period was due a couple of days ago, and I usually get some spotting a few days before hand (God's way of telling me not to wear my best knickers!) - but this month, I have had no blood at all.

But... I have been having period pains for the past week.

I read somewhere (possibly this forum) that sometimes you have period-like pains when you are pregnant, could this be possible?

To slightly complicate matters, I am on holiday in France, so it's not quite as simple as popping down to boots for a pregnancy test this month! (And the letters are all in the wrong place on the keyboard)

All advice gratefully received, and if it does sound like I am pregnant, any suggestions on what "pregnancy test" is in French would be welcome!

Thanks ladies, keeping my fingers crossed. Don't be afraid to be brutal if it sounds like I am not pregnant.

xx

Oooh, forgot to say - my boobs are bloomin killing me! Usually get sore boobs for a bit of my period, but they've been hurting pretty much since I ovulated.

I think you need to go and ask at the local chemist in france and they should be able to give you an idea of what to use....they probably have clear blue and that in the chemist anyway

Good luck its sounds promising xx

Thanks bird24 - I did what you suggested, and, well, there's nothing like buying a pregnancy test to get your period started...

Did the test anyway (yeah, I know, but I am losing my mind), and it came back negative, so this is just an update to this thread for anyone who finds it while running a search, that I guess symptoms that feel like period pain, are often just that: symptoms of period pain.

Judging from the response, I suppose this forum isn't for me.

Good luck ladies, good bye.
