I'm not pregnant but I've found it helpful to chart because the OPKs I got weren't sensitive enough to pick up on my surge, so temping and checking CM/CP helped confirm ovulation for me.

TCOYF is fantastic, isn't it?!

I think I read somewhere that when your temperature rises, that is usually the day you ovulate or afterwards. I haven't bothered taking my temperature as, if that is true, then it will be too late once your temperature has risen. I'm really clueless about all this trying to conceive so I'm trying to read as much as possible but I did read that somewhere. Probably Heat magazine knowing me!!!

Yeah apparently when it starts to rise, you've already o'd so you've missed the egg. xx

I charted my temps a few months leading up to ttc until we started early!

I found it was great as I knew I was potentially ovulating also I became aware of other signs of ovulation like cm and ovulation pain, but I never managed to get the hang of cp!

SO once I figured out when I oved I was able to BD around these times.

I charted May, June, July and Aug as we werent starting ttc until July but started end of May!

I got my BFP in Aug...I am extremely lucky to have managed to quickly!

Good Luck!

I tried for six months w/o any charting, or monitoring of anykind. Then found B&B, joined FF and started to use OPK's, check cp, and cm. It really helped me tons. Prior to doing those things I thought I was Ov a week later than I actually was, so it just goes to show how helpful it can be. I fell pg my first mth of charting and checking. The pg wasn't sucessful but, that has nothing to do with charting.
Highly recommend joining a sight to help you track things. Good luck hun!
