| Lots of advice please! Hi Guys
I am doing my best to work out when I am likely to ovulate and as my last cycle was 47 days (1st one since BCP) I thought I would do cheapie sticks from CD10 - just to be on the safe side!! I do them at the same time every day (4.30pm) and I have had two lines on them everyday but the test line has always been a lot fainter than the reference line.
Yesterday my OPK was darker than usual however it wasn't as dark or darker than the reference line which the instructions say it should be for a positive. But today it is lighter again - see pics.
I haven't been temping regularly but when I have my temp has usually been 36.6 didn't temp yesterday but today it is 35oc
So what I am trying to work out is am I ovulating or have I already ovulated or do I need to wait a bit longer? Also just to let you know today is CD 34 and if my cycle is 47 days again this would fit in.
I :BD: last night do you think I should go for it again tonight if I am ovulating?
All help and advice greatly appreciated!! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hiya,
i would say that looking at the middle opk thats its a positive. You only need a border as dark as the test line and also getting 2 lines and lines fluctuating in colour do indicate ovulation its just that with onlt testing once you can sometimes miss the surge that gives a strong positive.
Id say you ovulated and as long as you've gotten some bd in before that day and on the day..anything after is really not gonna make a difference- according to scientific proof.
If you had the positive yesterday, then yes definitely bd tonight. On average, pg's result from bd 2 days before ov and on the day of ov (34-36% success rate equally). If you wanna have a look at opk's and results etc go to www.peeonastick.com !
Good luck!!! |

| Thanks Omi tried to :BD: last night but was just too tired so I am hoping the swimmers from Thurs night (the day I got the positive OPK - if that's what it was!) will have still been around yesterday when I released the egg - hopefully!!
Do you think there is any point trying to :BD: to be on the safe side?? I'm not sure and I am really knackered at the min!
Also does anyone know how temping works? | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hey Kat08 - Temping is a great way to determine when you just ovulated. Typically your temp will spike between 97.6 to 99.6 degrees the day after ovulation. After ovulation, your temp will stay elevated until your next period. (Btwn. 12 to 16 days). If you do become pregnant your temp will remain elevated throughout your pregnancy. To figure out when you're most fertile, it's best to focus on your CM and pelvic position.
But I’m with you on the OPK confusion. I’m completely confused as well. My cycle has been acting strange (for no reason) the last 3 months and I should be due next Friday. However, I’m feeling ovulation cramping on the right side. Therefore, I went and purchased OPKs and used them the last 4 days. Today was the first day that I got a really really faint line. Does this mean I’m near ovulation event though my period is due??????

| I know what you mean Zoey I'm not sure how useful the OPKs are because I had my positive OPK (not sure if it is - see above pic) on Thursday 4.30pm but just got in the shower and have been having cramps on my right hand side. Not sure if this is ovulation or if this could be implantation but would it happen that soon after ovulation on Thurs/Fri??
What kind of OPKs are you using? With mine from internet you have to have a dark line as a sign of of a positive. | | | | Status: Offline

I am having a few pains on my right hand side today which I thought was a bit odd as I would have thought I would have ovulated yesterday bearing in mind my positive OPK on Thursday at 4.30? What do you think will I have ovulated yesterday? | | | | Status: Offline

| Know I don't temp regularly I have tested a few times throughout the month and it is normally 36.6oC but then yesterday it was 35oC and today it is 36.3oC - but that could have been because it has suddenly gone cold outside!!
Do you temp and when's best to do it and what am I looking for?!? | | | | Status: Offline
