OPK's and HPT's saying different things...help

Girls, I am so confused...sent the five year old to go find the tests she hid for me this afternoon (have much morning willpower, NONE in afternoon, UGH) Cheapies are the ones I've been using this whole month. AGAIN I got a FAINT FAINT line on the green OPK test with afternoon urine (but it acted a bit strange) so thats a FAINT FAINT on 6dpo, FAINT FAINT 8dpo and now FAINT FAINT on 11dpo. However taken prego internet cheapies off and on since like 7dpo and NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING but the control lines on those.

WHAT THE HELL? They are both 10miu (I'm assuming) so either my OPKS are jacked up and are a bad batch or my PREGO tests are a bad batch....I'm thinking I'm out as I don't feel as prego as I did as early as 3dpo but these different test answers are killing me.

Could I have just enough ovulation hormone to be causing the green sticks to give me two lines? My temps are still up as of 11dpo. Any ideas?

Well a faint line on an opk is a negative so it seems that they're both saying negative to me.

When is AF due? I would test again tomorrow (HPT) with FMU.

OH....I see what your saying...I thought I've heard people say you could use either one and it would show you if you were prego but your saying if the second line shows on the OPK then it needs to be DARK, right? Makes sense....

Your line on the OPK need to be equal to or darker than the control line to show a level of LH outside the ormal range. Some people have naturally higher levels of LH than others or get LH surges not related to ov (just to confuse us when we POAS!)

So you need to have more than the control line to be sure your LH surge is due to ov not some other hormonal change.

I clearly spen too much time reading the back of OPK packets!! can you tell I POAS lots?!

Good luck though, wait a day or two and do the HPT again. Fingers crossed for a BFP for you.

We always have some of the LH hormone in our system and that may be why it is picking up a faint line on the opk. Don't use them as a hpt as it is just confusing. It ain't over until AF shows so there is still time! Good luck!

I nearly always (unless urine very dilute) have faint lines on my opk which is just my natural level of Lh I think? The they gradually get darker over a few days and then back to faint again. Dunno if that helps?

hi i wouldnt use the opk to test for pregnancy as there will always be a line on those so just stick to the pregnancy tests.
