I'm Currently Feeling: | length of implantation? Does anyone know how long implantation takes and how soon after will you begin to have any symptoms? Are symptoms imperative after implantation? | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Once the egg has been fertilised it takes on average 6 days for it to travel down the fallopian tube and implant in the womb. Anywhere between 5-10 days is normal for implantation to take place. Once the embryo has implanted it will start producing hgc- the pregnancy hormone. It usually doubles about every 48 hours, which means that the earlier you try to test you are more likely not to get a positive.
Once implantation takes place and the hgc accumulates in your body it is likely but not strictly necessary to start getting symptoms.
if you wanna contrast and compare symptoms..go to www.twoweekwait.com
Hope this helps! |

a) although science says its not possible- some woman insist that they had symptoms as early as few days post ov- so its not unheard of, lol!
but...
b) it is not unusal to have the whole range of pg symptoms in the 2ww either..and no, i dont mean imagined ones..real ones..which trust me- make the 2ww anything but interesting, grrr!! yes, i speak from experience, lol!!
(Btw, i first got pg symptoms about 11dpo..and mine was feeling really tired and having naps during the day- which i NEVER do )

I was wondering about this myself, yesterday morning i got up and was sick, had an hours nap in the afternoon and nearly fell over while standing doing the dishes at tea time (for no reason, i hadn't just got up or anything).
My OH says that i cant be preg cuz he only got his vasctomy reversal done last month and im not so sure myself, could i just be "thinking" that i'm preg because i want it sooo much?
Thanks, great thread
