OMG - I am 6DPO, and already I have had to POAS, and nothing, not ever the faintest of lines, no matter which way I look at the stick!!!

I ovulate lateish (day 16/17) in a 27 day cycle - AF due on wed next week - so although I know its well early days - why does it make me disheartened not to see a small, thin faint line!!

Its crazy I know, and this is only our 3rd month of TTC - so I know that many of you have been doing this for a lot longer than me - but I think I will bankrupt myself buying OPK's and HPT's if I am not careful!

Then I'll take a break and test about two or three days later.

i was like this at first and it wore off! i don't even keep tests in the house now other than cbfm sticks. Im not gonna tests until im at least 10dpo as i have a short luteal phase so that will be a miracle

that is EXACTLY what I just told myself - wait until at least monday!

I just read the post ( i think by DaisyDuke) about the HCG levels in your body at each DPO, and it kinda backs up that it would have been a minor miracle to see something that early - if I am pregnant that is!

I cope by not having any tests in the house. I'd have to get in the car to get one as there's no useful shops near us, so that pretty much puts the kibbosh on 'just popping to the shops'/.

If I have a stick in a drawer....its like I can visualize it laying there, calling out to me............
I hate wasting money and think that all these...."early tests" are just a marketing ploy to get us to spend money.



They get us by saying we can test as early as 4 days before AF.
so does that mean we buy 4 tests?????

I send OH to drive 30 mins to a store to buy me one or 2.
between gas and the cost of the test...if I use it to early and still have 3 or 4 days til AF........well to bad for me..LOL
