First appointment at the Fertility clinic today

Hi Ladies

Can anyone suggest what questions would be good to ask?

I dont really know what to expect so anything would be great

My cycles have been 28,28,37,33,32 so far

i was told i had mild endometriosis in may after a LAP and DYE operation......

I got EWCM for the first time since coming off the pill last month.....havent seen anything yet this month and monitor currently says HIGH

I've had a progestrone blood test back in may that came back at 27.4 which is low

Thanks everyone xx

I would ask for another day 21 test as althought 27.4 is lower than the recommended 30 you have now had EWCM so maybe things are moving in the right direction. Have they tried you on Clomid or anything similar to bring on Ovulation, if not i would recommend that. If you have been charting take copies of your charts so that they can see the trends.

Good luck and try and relax but don't leave there until you are satisfied, they sometimes rush through appointments so don't let them do it to you, stay until you are happy things are moving forward xx

Thanks for the great advice

I have copies of my blood test from the doctors and i have printed out all my info from fertility friend that i have been logging each cycle so hopefully that will show i'm serious

I havent been put on clomid so i'm not sure if they might offer that....

I've started accupunture and chinese remedies to help with my cycles but only been doing that for 3-4 weeks so far

Thanks

I think push for Clomid and then ask for Day 21 tests again to see if that makes the difference, i know Clomid raises estrogen levels which can be bad if you have endometrosis but there are other similar drugs and taking it short term should be OK x

Oh really? i didnt know that...they removed the endometriosis cells that found when i had my LAP done so maybe they will give me clomid to help regulate my ovulation

how do they check if your lining is thick enough to implant the egg?

Not sure about checking the lining, i would have thought that would have to be done laprascopically. Clomid has been found in SOME cases to make endo worse but they will prescrobe for short periods of time. I took Clomid a few years ago as wasn't ovulating, i wasn't getting PG so i stopped but for some reason after stopping my body continued to O normally. I can't be sure but i do think Clomid was the reason. I am still prescribed it but i don't really need it x If they have removed the endo cells i can't see any problems xx

So have they checked other reasons why you havent conceived yet hun?
do they check quality of the eggs or anything?

I just wanna make sure they realise that i dont wanna be fobbed off - i have been waiting 3 half months for this appointment and want to make it worth it....
