I'm Currently Feeling: | Stupid doctor's office Ok.. what blood test do u girls go for when u get blood work? My doctor's office is saying that the qualitative test is more sensitive then the quantitative ( beta ) test.. even though i goggled it a 100 times...
this is what i got from google
A quantitative blood test (or the beta hCG test) measures the exact amount of hCG in your blood. So it can find even tiny amounts of hCG. This makes it very accurate. Qualitative hCG blood tests just check to see if the pregnancy hormone is present or not. So it gives a yes or no answer. The qualitative hCG blood test is about as accurate as a urine test. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | That doesn't make sense? I thought they do Betas to make sure the amount of the HCG is doubling every day. Ask them to refer you to a place that does do it. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I don't mean to sound rude but does it matter which they do?
Either you have HCG in your blood or you don't? Surely the amount doesn't matter. Either its their or its not.
If you still getting neg HPT's then the quantity is still very very small, even a quantitative test has a minimum it can detect.
I'm not trying to have a go but your only 13DPO, maybe just try to chill out and relax till AF is a bit more over due and your further past O? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | There are loads of women, even on here, who dont get results with a urine hgc test. I think the point here is to find out if bella is pg, cause as the doc said to me.. the earlier you find out your pg the earlier you can start taking care of the pregnancy- not that we dont already, lol! But you know what i mean.
i personally know of 1 girl who never gt positive hpt's at the doctor, even after testing 3 times..all the while saying she knew she was pg- and she was! And the doctor never bothered with her at all. That could have been dangerous as she never had any ante-natal apmts as only had her pg confirmed into her 3 month!
So the moral of that story is that although we dont support frivolous tests at the doctors, sometimes its necessary to investigate and bella has a shorter lp than some of us thus not being 'not late' au contraire..she is!!! |

I don't know.. i have some cramps today, not af cramps but some kind of cramping, and lotion CM which a lot of girls say that get before AF so i dont know now.. guess i will wait til sunday to test, or if AF comes so i can try again next Cycle, thanks |
