Is it safe?

I've got some multivitamins aswell as some pregnacare ones.. is it safe to take both of these together? Was just wondering as they have a lot of the same vitamins in them.

Thanks

xx

You only need the pregnacare ones. You shouldn't take an ordinary multi-vit in case it has vits like Vit A which isn't good when pg.

Ohh thanks, I had no idea about that, glad I asked to double check!

Are the pregnacare ones enough for me to take or are there any other things I should be taking alongside them too?

Sorry about all the questions

x

I take omega 3 as i am a veggie and don't eat fish and it is good for :

'The developing foetus requires omega 3 fatty acids for cell membranes and physiological functions, as well as for the brain and retina'

But iam allready taking Pregnancy Multi Vitamins , But they have iron in them .. I dont know if to stop taking them as i dont want to overdose on iron !!!! . Carnt call midwifes as its closed for the day , Was told to start iron tablets asap . So stopped multi vitamins for now .. Any one know ??? . xx .

Hmmm.. not too sure. Best thing to do is to just take the iron tablets for now without the other vitamins until you can get hold of midwife.. should be ok to leave vits for a couple of days The iron is probably more of a priority atm anyway to help with the anemia.. that can't be nice to have!

xx

Its awfull , But its 50/50 lol . On one hand i know i need to get my iron levels up . And its why i feel tired and yukky , So the tablets will help make it all better .
But i know they bring on Constipation and Black stools . There not the easiest of tablets to take .And all through my pregnancies my iron levels kept dropping when i was weaned off them , So i shall be on them all the way through this pregnancy .
Ill stay of Pregnancy Vitamins for now ill try ring midwife again tommorrow . Hope ur well hun ? . xxxx .
