| I have no idea what your weight is or what your eating habits/exercise programs are like but if i was you i'd just eat less, eat at certain times each days, don't snack, stop drinking tea/coffee and have water and buy a wii fit and go on that for an hour a day for exercise. That probably sounds daft but it'll work. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | ok here goes:
I'm 5'6", 12st 5lbs, eat pretty healthy (yogurt for brekkie, cereal for lunch, chicken and salad/veg for dinner and maybe a suger free jelly or low fat yogurt for desert if i really fancy something else) I do drink tea but maybe only 1 cup a day. Exercise about 3 times a week for an hour a time. I do have a wii fit but don't really use it as best i should but do walk my dogs daily. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I have to say I agree with the others, manage what you eat, cook fresh every day and throw yourself into some form of exercise, that's what will drop your weight.
My DF has shifted 11lbs approx in the last 6 weeks just by eating smaller portions and using our Xtrainer 4 days a week for 45 mins. He also drinks lots of water.
It's not massive weight loss but its got him on the way to a healthier body (and smaller belly!)
He found that gyms were all well and good but at the end of the day only he could motivate himself ... expensive gym membership or not.
Good luck
*edited to add ... from your stat's/reply I would think that maybe its not the amount you eat but what your eating?
For DF and his diet I have cut out ALL processed foods and cook pretty much everything from scratch, its a pain when I'm tired etc but its helped him.
Cereals can be high in bad stuff like sugars/salts etc. So might not be helping at all? Also if you cut back on stuff and eat to little your body goes into 'starve' mode and stores all fats .. so in some ways snacking on veg/nuts etc can actually help.
When you walk the dogs do you really push yourself or just stroll? I found (to my horror!) that although a adult should walk approx 4mph when out walking along the river with the dog I was only going about 2.5-3mph - increasing it and getting a bit of a sweat really helped me.
Also eat more at the beginning of the day and less later, your metabolism is higher in the morning. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | The biggest thing for me hun..... DONT EAT PAST 7PM!!!
It worked a treat for me when I was trying to lose weight and I did weight watchers, loved it cos I could still eat my choccy and crisps if I wanted to but just in moderation!
I think the course your looking at doing sounds great but my god I would have to have serious motivation to do it and stick with it! But if it works for you hun then go for it! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | thanks girls, i'm gonna step it up with the dogs tonight! Hopefully that might help. I pretty much cook from scratch everyday so not sure apart from cutting out the cereal what i can do! I've already cut portion sizes massively but so far in the last 2 months i've only lost 3 lbs! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | looking at what your eating you don't seem to be eating or drinking alot at all.
the key is not making your body feel as though it needs to store the food your eating or keep hold of the fluid your drinking.
Also a slow weightloss is much better for you in the long run (less loose skin)
i'm 5' 5'' and i weigh 14st 4lbs (when i was weighed saturday) I've lost over 8lbs on 8 weeks. and i still eat loads but its the right food, such as fruit and veg.
also you need a diet that doesn't leave you feeling deprived - lighterlife really does totally restrict your intake and i have had a few people tell me it's made them ill, and most people loose to put it all and more back on.
I go to slimming world, i find the class environment productive and supportive - it's my time out from being at home or work. it you want me to email you a sample plan i could probably sort one out of one of my magazines for you.
Whatever you decide - good luck! |
