Hello im new in here. I found this forum through my desperate searches on the internet to try and find out what is going on in my body.
I ovulated on 19th or 20th July and started having strange symptoms within a few days. I had recently completed a big detox and was feeling very very healthy so noticed everything. I had a low grade middle headache for about 8 days, i got sinus congestion as well as a very runny nose. I came down ill about 5 days post ov and had to have a day off work, high fever, sore throat etc. I had ov like cramping on both sides of my lower abdomen for about a week. My sense of smell was intense, incredible and i was sneezing loads. I had a huge sex drive and my appetite totally changed and i couldnt stop eating ice cream and drinking milk. Sore boobs kicked in, dizziness, insomnia, waking up super early and not wanting to sleep more (not like me!!!!) VERY MOODY AND SO ANGRY (not like me!!!!) Watery CM, excess wind, metal mouth and constipation and very clumsy, very thirsty, backache. OK you get the picture!!
So that was all almost a month ago. I had no AF and ive taken about 12 PG tests and all are negative. Most of the above symptoms have passed, now i just have very sore boobs, some backache, still get dizzy standing up and i have on and off nausea and constipation and change of bowel habits generally. And im tired. Also about two weeks ago my boobs went really veiny and still are.
I had a blood test taken last week and had a hcg level of 2, which is negative. She told me to come back at the end of this week to do another.
So my question is, has anyone else experienced this??? This is not all in my mind, and i know i cant be talking my body into these symptoms. My lower stomach is hard and sore and bloated, i mean seriously in the evenings i actually look PG. Im going a bit insane with all this, i really need to know.
Does anyone have any experience of hcg levels not rising?

First of all welcome to the forum hun!

Secondly have you recently come off BCP? Your symptoms sound very much as though you have but they also sound very much as though your pregnanct, BCP confuses the body into thinking its pregnant every month so when we stop it, our bodies are still going through that!

How long ago did you do this detox? The reason I ask is that some of your symptoms can also relate to the detox, out bodies go through some very strange things when we detox!

Hi Suzanne and thanks for your reply.
I havent taken BCPs in a long time, about 5 years. It took my body AGES to sort itself out following that.
I completed the detox about 2 weeks before ovulating. Detox does do strange things to our bodies, i dont think these symptoms could be related as there was no overlap.
I really hope this is my month too! I have had pg scares before, but this seems for real, there are just too many symptoms.
I wish i knew for sure, its so frustrating isnt it. This started out as a 2ww, and now its become a 4ww, i wonder how much longer it will go on for..
