I have tried sooooo hard to avoid ALL alcohol whilst ttc as i read somewhere that it lowers chance of conception but must admit I've had a couple of big blowouts, most recently on holiday. Now I'm worried after 4 cycles ttc that I should cut it out completely.

What do you think? Do any of you ttc'ers still indulge a little?

I defenitely do and as i believe a little bit of what you fancy does no harm I got pg as well....

I was having the odd glass of wine (but not during the 2ww) but I felt so guilty about it I never really enjoyed it and then everytime AF arrives I think"what if I hadn't have had that glass of wine" etc etc so I've decided to avoid it completely from now on just for my own peace of mind tbh!!

yes that's exactly how I feel! So guilty, "what if", not enjoying it either.
Only problem is no-one knows were ttc but they all know how I like a good bottle of wine so I'm arousing suspicions- help!

when i was pg i used to drink tonic water with a lime in it...fake g&t Although, oh had to lie and say i was medication when ordered once in our local as i too arose suspicion...its crap isnt it, lol!!

great idea! my drink is usually vodka/lime/lemonade which would be easy to fake with DH's help LOL.

I'm lucky in that we moved 300 miles in May so everyone here knows me as a non drinker so I don't arouse any suspicion!!

Im also quit conscious of drinking while ttc. Dont get me wrong im not a big drinker at all, but do like the odd glass of wine and im not going to forfeit that whilst ttc, everything in moderation is my motto. (il stop when the bfp comes).I did give up the ciggies thou in my 3rd month ttc...knew when id get pregnant id have to quit straight away so thought might as well do it now and then its one last thing to think about when pregnant. lol. I especially enjoy a glass of wine once the witch has arrived not to mention a big bar of chocolate as well. xxx

I have a drink whilst AF is in the house but avoid completely for days before O and on the 2WW, I love having a drink and TTC drives me crazy enough without giving up totally something I enjoy. Drink if you want to but know your limits and if you are going to drink then try and keep other aspects of your life healthy (follow a good diet, exercise etc..)

I know what you all mean but i would stop, practice for the 9 months when we can't because the will not get us forever (I hope)
