I'm Currently Feeling: | Oooh, oooh, some ov results need explaining! Please help me work this out - I had my first blood test a few months ago on Day 21 of a 40 day cycle. The Dr's receptionist said I didn't ovulate and the number was 12.5. I got my bloods done last Wednesday on day 23 of cycle length of God-only-knows and the results came back as 26. The receptionist said the Dr views the results as inconclusive and doesn't know whether I ov'd or not......So, does this look good or bad? I had some ewcm on Friday 8th Aug and a blood result of 26 on 13th August. Could I actually be oving?
Sorry to seem so dumb and needy but I really need some light throwing on to this by people who actually know what they're talking about.
Thanks sooooo much in advance! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | 30 is the low end of what they say is normal, 26 is a little below this but not impossibel for you to O, as the results are getting better I would say yes, CD21 tests are taken after O and are normally above 30 then so it is very possible.
When are they testing you again? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Sorry, I don't think I explained very well - the day 21 test should normally be taken 7 days after ov, but in my case I think the test was too early and was only 4/5 days after I ov'd. In which case, would a result of 26 look good? Does the prog. level rise throughout the LP?
Plus if I had sex the day AFTER i ov'd how likely is it to still get pregnant? | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Yes progestorone rises during LP so 26 would be fine!
If you BD only the day after O then obviously your chances are somewhat reduced as the sperm may have missed the egg but its not unheard of. FF recommends BDing til at least day after O to be safe so there is always a chance x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Should be done in the middle of your LP because that is when your P peaks. So if you have a LP of 14 days 7dpo is the best time for it. If you have longer cycles, you could have had the tests done too early. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I came in at 25 on both my day 21 tests hun and was told that I hadnt OV'd, 30 is the minimum, some Docs have that as high as 40!
I hope you get this sorted hun, think you might of possibly tested too early, your Dr should of advised you when to go in! |
