Temping question

i am not sure whether i am wildly stabbing in the dark here - but this morning i took my temp as usual after a bit of a rubbish nights sleep and it had dropped down to 36.00 - i have had to have a snooze this afternoon because i was so bloody tired and when i woke up i thought "well i will just temp and see what it says" - it said 37.39!! WTF! do i ignore it - which one is the blip? i thought af was probably on her way this morning when i saw the temp had dropped so much - but now it has gone up loads! WTF!! Very confused!!!!

You can't use this afternoons one babe it would have to be this mornings but put in your FF notes that you were sleep deprived.

Yep you need to use this morning's temp. Your body needs at least 3 hours sleep before you take a reading.

If you are charting on FF then mark up about the sleep problem and it will bypass today's temp and aline it with tomorrow. Being knackered from lack of sleep has an effect on your temp hun so i would ignore today and keep going from tomorrow!x

I agree with the other girls... take todays first temp, note sleep deprived (FF will plot this as an open circle on chart) and carry on as normal tomorrow x

I wasn;t charting at the start of the month hun because i had lost my thermometre - have started again post ov which i know is silly - and fertility friend wouldn't let me rejoin - so am just puttng my temps in my journal as i remember to do them!!!! xx

I agree with other posts. I'd use the morning temp but add the note that you were sleep deprived
