Your last FF chart showed (although it may not be very accurate because it showed broken red cross hairs on the chart so the day of ovulation had some ambiguity), that your luteal phase was about 9 days long. This cycle you mention the pink spotting on CD8 so in this case it is more likely to be spotting before AF.

I say that based on two facts:

1) Your last chart showed a similar length luteal phase previously and
2) There was no temp dip on the day of the spotting

Statistically, charts show a temp dip on the day of implantation, followed by a steep rise but again this is not the case for everybody. It just makes these charts really easy to read. Your temp dip this morning is a disappointment as it could (and I stress could) be a sign that AF is coming.

Forgive me sounding so factual, but I have to agree with one of the previous posts that it can be soul destroying to get so many people confirm implantation, building your hopes up and then you experience that awful drop back down to Earth again. It's natural for everyone to want your dreams to come true and we all love to read about BFP's and give encouragement, so it's perfectly understandable.

However, as long as you look at the big picture in your charts and compare with previous ones, you will keep yourself better informed to decide what is happening. It's also important to remember that this is not an exact science and anything is possible. None of us are out until that witch shows up, so for as long as you are waiting there is hope.

I hope you are feeling better than yesterday and I've been there so many times with disappointment and tears, my heart really goes out to you. I sincerely wish you success and really look forward to hearing about your BFP. Could be this time, could be next time ... whenever it is, just remember it will be sometime.
Thanks babe Ur chart look lovely, good luck. Do i report spotting yesterday to FF as it wasn't there when i wiped only when i looked for it? XXX

Morning DD,

Just thinking about that. Could there be a slim possibility that you pinched your skin and caused a little spotting? Although I guess this would be more 'red'.

I can't see any harm in putting it on your chart because if you get a similar pattern in the future where you actually get to see it on your clothing then you will have something to compare it to. It might be worth having it as a reference. At the end of the day it was there and you may have ended up seeing it on your knickies later. If you don't mention it then you will forget when it actually happened if you end up charting for one or two more cycles.

Yep, I think that's what I would do and Tansey's charts might be worth your while having a look at because she gets spotting a long time before her AF and it's normal for her. It will just answer your question about when others spot and perhaps save you a little stress if AF doesn't show up in the next few days. You know if you expect your LP to be 9 days long and it goes to 14 then you will assume you are PG. That's very stressful.

I'll say another thing though. If you do find out that your LP is 9 days long, it would be worth your while choosing some B vitamins and/or other natural remedies to lengthen it. Wait and see what length it is this time and then try lengthening it in the future. It needs to be longer for sure and there are lots of things you can do to make that happen.

Are you feeling better today?

Oh no, as if you needed that. Well, stranger things have happened and as I said, it's not an exact science and miracles do happen. But it is so important to stay grounded otherwise your fall is unnecessarily big. My theory is to believe you are NOT pregnant until proven otherwise, but hope you are at all times to keep the positive energy going.

As for lengthening LP if that's what you find you need to do then have a read of this thread I found.

http://www.medhelp.org/forums/Fertil...sages/857.html

Also, there will be others here with oceans of info on the subject. But wait and see if you need to first as it sounds like you don't need the stress right now.

Try to do something really pleasant for the rest of today to take your mind off things. Maybe a bit of retail therapy. Hope you're OK.

ps.re luteal phase, remember cd1 starts wen proper red bleeding starts so just cos you're spotting now doesn't mean u have a short LP.but if u do, Tish is right,vitb6 helps-it has helped me. Start with 50mg then up to 100mg if need be.anyway hon, don't u be too down...u just never know!x

Hi girls, has got me which gives me a LP of 9 days. I'm taking action, any advice on how to lengthen it would be great. I'm not getting down about this, i've just been set back a few weeks, so i'm going out to get some wine (to cheer me up) and anything u girls reckon may help lengthen my LP. Also going to order some pre seed, so this is it, this cycle is MY cycle i'm taking charge. This is that last time i'm going to see that rancid old for 9 months. Thanks for all ur support it's been such a help. XXX
