gals,u really shouldn't be rummaging about in ur nether regions to find ur cervix.that's something only medical professionals should be doing.genuinely, its advised by gynos etc that u shouldn't be doing this yourself!I also agree about the chances of it being IB r low.I too have been on these boards too long to know its very rare for a gal who reports spotting to then report a BFP.hopefully you'll be the first tho hon.x

I don't think "rummaging" is particularly advised but there is no harm in touching! After all, your man's whatsit goes up there pretty regularly and I would hazard a guess that there are one or two friendly bacteria on that projectile?Think about it this way, some willies are long enough to touch the cervix (in my dh's case that's true), those willies will usually not have been scrubbed clean with borax prior to sex, (we have been together 15+ years), and may well have been festering in underpants for some hours...

On the other hand, prior to cp checking, we tend to thoroughly wash and dry our hands, and of course insert fingers more gently than any penis could hope for, because its our body.

It's extremely unlikely that anything untoward could happen from a cervix check.

When you say "its advised by gynos etc that u shouldn't be doing this yourself!" could you tell us who told u that?

Well i tested this morning and obviously i'm now 9DPO. My temp dropped this morning, would it drop now for implantation? If i had never gone looking (sorry TrixieLox, i was very careful tho) i wouldn't have noticed pink cm yesterday, does that work for an implantation dip? Now so far this morning it's more brown but i still have to look for it, so nothing overnight. I expect AF to be well on her way now i'm up and about. XXX

Hello DD,

I guess I am a little more informed that the girls who replied to you yesterday, because you now have one more entry on your chart with a drop in temp. However, here's what I see.

Your last FF chart showed (although it may not be very accurate because it showed broken red cross hairs on the chart so the day of ovulation had some ambiguity), that your luteal phase was about 9 days long. This cycle you mention the pink spotting on CD8 so in this case it is more likely to be spotting before AF.

I say that based on two facts:

1) Your last chart showed a similar length luteal phase previously and
2) There was no temp dip on the day of the spotting

Statistically, charts show a temp dip on the day of implantation, followed by a steep rise but again this is not the case for everybody. It just makes these charts really easy to read. Your temp dip this morning is a disappointment as it could (and I stress could) be a sign that AF is coming.

Forgive me sounding so factual, but I have to agree with one of the previous posts that it can be soul destroying to get so many people confirm implantation, building your hopes up and then you experience that awful drop back down to Earth again. It's natural for everyone to want your dreams to come true and we all love to read about BFP's and give encouragement, so it's perfectly understandable.

However, as long as you look at the big picture in your charts and compare with previous ones, you will keep yourself better informed to decide what is happening. It's also important to remember that this is not an exact science and anything is possible. None of us are out until that witch shows up, so for as long as you are waiting there is hope.

I hope you are feeling better than yesterday and I've been there so many times with disappointment and tears, my heart really goes out to you. I sincerely wish you success and really look forward to hearing about your BFP. Could be this time, could be next time ... whenever it is, just remember it will be sometime.
