I had my d&c on 08-08-08 I only had some light spotting fri and sat. Sunday evening I started to have a light flow. This couldn't be my af because I wouldn't of had time to ov. and I am still getting positive Hpt (althought lighter YAY). I know it is normal to bleed afterwards. I guess I just figured I would go from heavy bleeding to lighter to spotting, not the reverse. I wasn't planning on starting my temps until after my hpts became neg. thinking that things would be irregular and take a long time. I am wondering if maybe I should go ahead and start just incase I go right into regular cycles.
Even if this is my first AF I will still wait until the next to ttc.

How was your bleeding after the procedure and how long did it last?

I bled for 10 days after. It was heavy on days 1 and 6 after the op and light the rest and spotting on the last two days!

If I counted the operation as CD1, then my period came about 4 days later than it usually does.

I bled for 2 weeks 14 days... then waited had my af 4 weeks later and was pregnant next cycle.. and i a D&C.

sorry for your loss.
Sadly this is not your 1st AF, as it's only days since your Erpc.
My bleeding lasted 12 days and it was mostly light though it did get heavier at times. My first AF took 6 and 1/2 weeks. wait to get a neg hpt before you start testing and be prepared for the possibility that it might take a bit of time for your body and hormones to settle down, it has taken me 3 months.

HI WeAreA6pack so sorry4 ur loss...i had a D&C on 26mar08 and i bled on n off 4 2wk then spotted 4 about a wk,then i goton 2may...every1is different though,ive been ttc since then,but a very good friend of mine had a D&C and got a b4 she even got her cycle bk,she mc this one aswell and was told she didnt wait long enough4body2get bk2normal....she waited 5mth and got a and her son is 4mth now....its been nearly 5mth since mine and im hopin n praying i get a very very soon...i did phone docs bk up though when the spotting started,cos it was on n off,maybe nowt4 2days then a bit,she said it could take up2 6wk!! be carefull to wait a couple of mth till convceiving incase ur body aint bk2normal....GL

I had a d&c in June and my bleeding lasted for about 2 days, gone for a 2 days and then started bleeding again for a week or more. Just when I thought it was gone it would come back fairly heavy, my bleeding was off and on.

Thanks all. I feel better knowing that some have the on and off bleeding. It is light for. My AFs are usually brutal.

sorry for your loss, I had a d&c on the 5/8/08 also and the bleeding has almost stopped, I was wondering should I wait for af or just go for it now

Sorry for your loss. I only experienced extremely light bleeding immediately after my D&C for about an hour. After that nothing until I got an extremely light AF 28 days later which lasted 2 days.

My next AF was very heavy and painful as were the few following and they are only settling down now 7 months later.
