But cerazette made me crazy, having said that the Dr screwed up and had me on 2 a day, which is why they think I might not of OV in May and June! It leaves you with major pregnancy symptoms and screws with you! I hope it gets out of your system real quick hun and you can get your first AF or a of course Shout if ya need anything!
Thanks so much hun, yes thats exactly how i was on cerrazette too, i was spotting continuasly for 4 weeks before we decided to TTC, the spotting ended 5 days after i stopped taking my last pill and slowly but surely i am beginning to feel more like myself, and not the crazy bitcH from hell it was making me. Without knowing if i am OV we will just have to carry on blind for the next few months and keep our fingers crossed. I could just use an ov test everyday to see if am OV but that may ork out a bit expensive so might leave it a bit to do anymore. If No visit from AF or a BFP in the next 6 weeks i will go to see my GP (am hoping something happens in between though) My best friend is on Cerrazette (like you was ) 2 a day and shes a mess! wishhad never gone on it in the first place. Thanks again hun xxxxxxxx
Tell your friend she only needs to be taking ONE a day hun, im no Dr but when I went to the family planning clinc they were disgusted that I was on two, usually on the mini pill if a woman is over 70kgs she has to take 2 a day, however the exception to that rule is cerazette, the nurse in the FPC actually got the paperwork out and showed me and it categorically stated that no woman over 70kgs should be on two a day and that only one a day is necessary! I wish more women knew this as it is messing with our bodies big time, like you and me it changes you into a crazy bitch! I wouldnt be leaving it 6 weeks hun, I would give it a couple more weeks and then maybe go to Dr or preferably your local FPC! Like you said buying the OV sticks etc will work out expensive, hopefully it will disappear out of your system soon and you can start temping etc to see when your OVing... goodluck hun!

the reason i was going to leave it another 6 weeks is because by that time i will have been off the Bcp for 3 months and i just didnt think the Gp would be interested or do anything if i go back any sooner than that. I will tell my friend hun as she is a big lady but if she shouldnt be on 2 a day that could be whats making her a mentalist! lol
Will keep you posted hun and see what pans out......am just a bit worried The docs will send me away and tell me to wait if i go back too soon.....
Thanks again xxxx

LOL yeah I know what ya mean hun! I would stronly recommend your friend gets along to her local FPC and questions this 2 a day business hun, I hate the thought of women being on it when they dont need to be!

And I think if you went along to your local FPC hun instead of the Dr you would get more support, I know it can take a long time for women to get the BCP out of their system and everyone is different, but its unusual that you had spotting whilst on it and now your off it its disappeared, isnt that what they call sods law?? LOL!

Goodluck hun with whatever you deicde to do x

Question

Im confused!

Hi, Im new on here and have just been reading about your experience on cerezette. I went on cerezette just before my holiday in June. Started taking it on day one (17th June). Came off it on 28th July as we are TTC number 1. I had a one day bleed on 1st August, not really a proper bleed (more brownish). My last period was 19th July that lasted about a week. Since then still waiting for AF. Have had bad cramping the last few days, slight CM a couple of days ago so BD like mad! May possibly be due this week, but cramps dont feel like period pain.
Its so confusing, should have really waited till I had a proper AF before trying but you hear so many different stories about what is best. Heard that you can be really fertile the first month of coming off the pill.

Yeah thats what i heard too, that you are most fertile when you just come off the BCP but i dont think thats happening in my case. am worried i cant concieve again after having 2 bouts of very bad pelvic imflammortary disease (one where i was hospitalised and pcos ) am scared my tubes may be badly scarred due to the infections and i think this is what the impatience comes down to..its not realy impatience, more fear i cant concieve again or that i will need help. i am just going to hold tight for the next few weeks and see if anything happens! will keep you all updated either way.thanks girlies and good luck yourselves xxxx

What you had on the 1st August hun sounds like your withdrawal bleed, this is spose to be quite short and as you described more like a brown discharge (eww LOL) you can expect your nomal AF anyday now, but it could be weeks/months before it returns hun sorry to be so honest but you need to be prepared for the fact that it could take a while to get out of your system, however you could be lucky like me and get it almost immediately.

Your like me hun, I had a bleed on cerazette on the 3rd July a very heavy bleed at that, came off it on the 11th July and had another bleed on the 14th July which you would expect to be my withdrawal bleed but again it was very much AF type bleeding, heavy, clots, red etc and then I started AF again on the 5th August, so I had 3 normal AF's within the space of 4 weeks! No fun trust me!

You are spose to be most fertile within the first couple of months of coming off BCP, so fingers crossed hun ya cycle returns to normal asap

Hi and Welcome to BNB!

Hopefully for you the bcp won't stay in your system too long as you weren't on it for very long! I think the first cycle after bcp is always a bit weird though, as your body is readjusting hormonally. Perhaps your cramping was ovulation pain? As you got it the same time as the cm, it sounds likely.

I've also read that women are super-fertile just after coming off bcp (may be I should go back on it for a month ) so good luck to you chick! Keep posting and let us know how you're getting on!

Now then young lady, that whole waiting for 6 weeks business before going to your Dr?? You know the one where I said you shouldnt wait 6 weeks? Well helllooooooo if you have had pcos and pelvic inflammortary disease then you should definitely go back sooner hun! Perhaps they can look into this for you! Its been 5 weeks since you came off BCP, I would of expected you to have had something by now, if only a withdrawal bleed! If you dont get an AF within the next couple of days then I would go along and explain about your history and that you are STILL waiting for a withdrawal bleed from BCP! A withdrawal bleed should normally appear within a few weeks of stopping BCP however it could then take upto 6 months or more for AF to regulate itself into a regular cycle. Were you on cerazette long hun???
