I take Clomid I get awful hot flushes too!! I don't think it makes me moody though, it did cause all my CM to disappear though so have been taking EPO and grapefruit juice to help xx

ive posted on a similar thread about clomid before but ill try and reiterate it!

My sister went on Clomid about 8 yrs ago. She had a lot of problems and never had a regular cycle.

So she went on clomid. In a few months she found she was pregnant - with TWINS! (now nearly 7 years old). The docs told her that she woudnt be able to get pg again if she came off the clomid, but to my sis, her family was complete and she stopped the clomid and even started taking the pill to make sure. However, when the twins were 9 months old she fell pregnant again - and with twins!! - it turns out the original clomid had made her super fertile! However she lost one of these twins very early but went on to have a very healthy little boy (5 yrs old). Then also went on to have another little girl a couple of yrs later, completely naturally. And now her cycles have been fine ever since. So it can be great!

Good luck with your jouney! x x

What a sweetheart you are Helenbun to share your sisters experience with us. I have been prescribed Clomid too and am really scared about taking it. Should start next cycle but still haven't cashed the prescription in yet. I will probably feel better closer to the time and really hope it works. I've heard some really good reports about it, so you just never know.

Best of luck on it jems30, no doubt we will be comparing notes some time in the future.

ive just taken my first cycle of clomid and apart from the hot flushes it was fine. dont be scared about taking it. you only take it for 5 days from day 2 till 6 off your cycle.

I take clomid as I don't ovulate, only done one cycle and then I have taken a months break as I was changing jobs so as soon as AF starts I will be taking it again! Can I just say I saw on BBC news this morning that a study has been done about people who take clomid and it only works effectively if you are not ovulating. If you do o and still take clomid your chances of falling pregnant are not increased at all. Just wanted to say as I think some docs are prescribing it a bit willy nilly
