Tests - Investigating lack of AF

It's not everyday you get told your going to have an ultra-sound when your not pregnant.
this will be my second (first was for IBS - ruling out bowel cancer)

anyway i went to the doctors today explaining that my last period started 49 days ago, and i've had cramps etc (alot) but still no

and i've done 4 hpt's and all

he wants to rule out pcos, and my appointment should be through in a few weeks.

I decided it was too much to go it alone and decided to tell my mom we're trying to keep her off my back as she keeps making unwelcome comments about lack of grandchildren and doesn't realise shes hurting my feelings!

Good luck hun. Hope it all goes well and glad youve got your mum in on it now too......who else best to support you other than your mum eh? At least she wont keep putting her foot in it now and upsetting you and she can be there to support you both now too.

Good Luck! I've had a few ultrasounds myself for suspected PCOS - but turned out I didn't have it.

Thanks everyone!
My Mum took it well, she cried when she realised how hurt i felt with the statements she made. I know she wouldn't have said those things if she had known.
I told her what had happened today and it made me realise i needed her. I feel much better now she knows she has promised not to tell everyone (she's a re-nowned gossip in the family)

The scan will be within the next three weeks, the way i see it the best outcome will be a heartbeat! the absolute worst outcome will be PCOS if it's neither then i'll just have to keep waiting for AF to call by.

having only had one AF in 6 months(since finishing BC) and the DR asked if i'd been pregnant before determined his decision for the scan, he didn't even offer to do their own HGC test.
