I heard somewhere on here that you shouldnt worry if you havent ewcm as it may all just be up in your cervix and uterus where its needed by the spermies....

But I just cant find it now!!

Ok, so I used to get loads before I had my fallopian tube removed in April. This month was the first time I got any (noticably) since the op I know I pretty much always ovulate on the right, and they removed my right tube.

I never tried stretching if before April (pre BnB), now it stretches at least 5cm.

ha, ha this is a great thead!

I first found out about cm and ewcm when as a young thing of 19 (im now 38 ) when i was working with a girl who was ttc and had gone to a chinese doc or similar. he explained all about the cm to her and how it can work when ttc and when trying to not ttc. Anyway...i have paid attention to it ever since, LOL!!

I think i have been blessed with a good amount of ewcm every month. I have to say though i have never compared mine to others and ive never needed to go look for it up the doodah, lol! However, i have in a moment of inspitation, come across a website that advocated eggwhite as an alternative to ewcm and preesead i guess... as the whole idea, as you all know, is that it creates a more hospitable environment for the spermies. (and yes, i have tried it- not bad! )

At the end of the day..its easy to get obsessed about all the aspects of ttc but i have to say '30 cm' ??? Isnt that a bit like female ejaculation... impressive but not really something i aspire to, if you know what i mean?

Mine has all dried up due to the Clomid, does that mean we can't get PG?

I've heard of the eggwhite as an alternative too, but also read you need to be careful re infection. The thing my book recommends is vegetable oil, this is coming from one of the leading gyne's in America, book is by Christopher Williams. Not tried it personally!!! Prefer to stick to the ol' preseed....

You've all reassured me that there is a wide variation in these things and that really, really stretchy ewcm is quite rare. I'm sure that getting pregnant doesn't depend on whether or not you have ewcm -- many girls have gotten 's without seeing any! However, getting the really stretchy kind is an advantage --so if you ever see it like that -- go for it!!

I think pre-seed is a great option for anyone worried about these things.

Mine's back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



After a long few months with no sign of the EWCM, thanks to you guys, the advice, some EPO and a glass of grapefruit juice a day, it's back...and with avengence!!!!!!



So in accordance with this thread, I very happily sat there stretching it!!!

For maybe a bit too long too!!

But, hey, mine's back to a very happy and healthy 5cm.

Thank you girls for the advice and support and thanks to Holland & Barrett for the EPO, and to God for the grapefruits and the sunshine to make them grow!
