I'm Currently Feeling: | specialist tommorrow......UPDATED WITH RESULTS!!! and all of a sudden I am really nervous. I don't know why - i have just got this horrible feeling in my stomach about it all.
I wanted to think of some questions to ask him but the only one i can think to ask is "why?" and i know he won;t know the answer to that. Really want to come away from this appointment with a positive approach that i have to take - even if they tell me there is a problem at least we will be able to do something about it! but i just don't want him to say "carry on trying - there is no reason for all of this" - that will be too hard to take?
sorry for rant - it has just come over me all of a sudden. I want to be relaxed this week ready for ov!! Girls thank you so much for thinking about me - i am back now and oh my god what a morning!! My appointment was at 10.10 - at 12.20 they shouted my name!! If it had been for anything else i would've left but in the name of ttc i stuck the wait out and it was well worth it! he is going to do a blood test on cd2 (if there is one!) which will test the quality of the egg - and he has prescribed clomid for me......basically he said that it was very strange what was going on - but the chemicals combined with the erratic ovulation were most probably linked. Because we have 2 children already he said we are clearly fertile and i am able to carry a child and sustain a pregnancy so perhaps the quality of my eggs just need a little help. So clomid here we come. 50mg for 5 days of my cycle starting on cd2 - to be taken after the blood tests have been done. If cd2 falls on a monday then i just have to go ahead and start the clomid as i can't have bloods done on a monday (clinic is closed!)!! He was such a lovely man and asked me everything about our history - how long we had been trying, how long it took us with ds etc. He explained the risk of multiple pregnancies with clomid etc and said i seriously believe that you will be pregnant within 6 months at least - but the clomid is very effective! so we will see. Actually looknig forward to af now - so i can start mission multiple eggs!!! |

it took us 2 years nearly to get pg with ds - fell pg by accident with dd - isn't it always the way - but ds was only 3 months old so i was still hpyer fertile after the birth. Please god don't let there be any underlying problems that will mean we will never get pg again. |

If there is somthing the wrong they can sort a lot out these days. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Aww, we'll all be keeping our fingers crossed for you hun.
Do you think they will be able to tell you anything at this appt? Have you been having tests etc? Just thinking if it's your first appt then it will prob just be a preliminary chat on your background first, then specialist decide where to go from there? I know this really isn't what you want to hear, but you know there are no easy answers with TTC (hell, don't we know!) and even just knowing that someone is going to take you under their wing and look into it further, even if you don't find anything out, has to be a positive thing right?
Just remember: it can only get easier from here - knowledge is power! You'll be fine tomorrow and i bet whatever is said you come back here and post a message saying you feel tons better xx |
