What can delay AF?

Please help!!
So last month AF (evil cow!) was 8 days late. I chalked this down to a one-off and didn't let it bother me. However the same seems to be happening this month now . I really don't understand what's suddenly happened to my stupid body! was due last Thursday. I started cramping 3 or 4 days before that (which is usual for me) but then the never arrived and i've still got horrible AF type cramps. Tested twice - Friday with a clearblue digi and got and again this morning with FMU and still .
I don't feel pregnant, i've got no symptoms, nothing at all different from usual. I just can't work out why suddenly after being so regular (almost time it to the hour, nevermind the day), now my AF just goes bonkers!! I've still been getting OV pain etc at the exact same time, so i don't think i'm ov-ing any later. It's just like my body gets ready for the , starts cramping, all the usual AF signs, then it doesn't come for ages.
Does anyone know what it might be? It's such a cruel trick as however much i know she'll come eventually, you just can't stop that little voice at the back of your mind saying "you could be..." and then it's just devastating when arrives. It's driving me maaaaaaaaddddd!!!

No, nothing at all. Everything is exactly as it always has been! This is what i don't understand! Last cycle i just wrote it off as "well everyone has an odd cycle every now and again" but now it's happening again i just don't know what to think.

do you temp or anything hun?
i don't want to get your hopes up - but have you tried testing with a non digi - everyone seems to say that the digi ones aren't as sensitive? Hope this is it for you.

Hey wishing,
Yeah, i used a non-digi this morning, as figured that it might show at least a faint positive whereas a digi wouldn't. Not even a hint of a line!
I don't temp or anything, so i'm afraid i don't have much information!
Just been having a read through a few other posts from over the weekend and it seems that there are quite a few women asking very similar questions. Had a little as there seems to be no explanation!
Just really fed up today. Want to . I really needed a normal cycle this time after last month. I can't do this every month, its too stressful. I just want to give up today. Sat here with tears rolling down my face and it's just not like me. TTC sometimes feels like it can change your personality and i want to be my normal happy cheery never-cries self that i was before this! Arrggghhhhhh!!!

oh hun i know exactly how you feel. It takes over your life doesn't it? try and relax - i know that is easier said than done.
How late are you now? sometimes my cycles have been quite bonkers but that has always been because i have ov'd late? once i have gotten my smiley face i always know pretty much that 14 days from that day af will be due but everyone is different.
Hope you get some answers soon hun - sorry i can't be any use to you.
you just never know though you know - hcg levels might just not be high enough to register yet. what kind of hpt did you use? I didn't get a pos with ds until i was almost 2 weeks late! I was 6 weeks pregnant and didn't even know. God, now we are ttc again i want to know the minute i think i might've had implantation!!!!

I'm on CD 38 and am usually 33 days bang on. Last month went bonkers and AF was 8 days late and it looks set to be the same this month. I've been TTC for over a year now. Every cycle has been 33 days, except last month for no apparent reason it went mad and now the same again?
They say anything over a cycle length of 35 days is abnormal and would indicate a problem. I guess that's probably what's making me so tearful today.

Its annoying when its not straight forward isnt it

I do know that it isnt af that get delayed though, its ovulationt hat gets delayed. Leutal phase is always the same length, so it may be something that happening mid cycle... stress? workload? testing for o all the time?

Unfortunately, trying to get pregnant is prob the worst thing we can all do! haha!
