I am truly overwhelmed and touched by the number of caring, supportive responses you've all posted to this thread. I feel so appreciative to all who've replied but I have to run out at the moment to do some grocery shopping. I'd like to come back and post some individualized responses when I have a moment this evening.

Big to all of you lovely BnBers!

Sorry... long reply... I'm just so thankful to y'all!

Sorry CurlySue... I should clarify. 13 days is relatively long for me... I've had LPs of 9, 10 and 12 days. So, my last two cycles could be viewed as having higher temps for 3 days longer than my average LP length... an indication of pregnancy? Thanks for posting those stats... they make me feel a lot better about my 7 months.

Snowdrop, Schmelly, Hanna, Bird24: I find it so comforting to hear when others are in the same boat as me... though it's not a good boat to be in! I hope you're finding this thread as comforting as I am.

Passengerrach, Celine, Schmelly, Trishk: thanks so much for taking time to write such detailed stories, sharing about how long you took to conceive and about your friends' TTC journeys. Those stories truly do give me hope!

6lilpigs: WHOOEE... that's quite a family! I always wished that I grew up with a lot of siblings... your children must have a lot of fun together! Thanks so much for posting how long it took for each of your 7 s... very eye-opening... especially the fact that at 29, it took you 7-12 months.

Wishing: no worries about the long post... I really enjoyed reading about your journey and your friend's. Doggy style, huh? I'll give it a try next cycle if things don't work out this cycle!

Dee_H: I've also been keeping myself busy the last few weeks and have gone from being a daily BnB addict to being off of BnB for long chunks of time ! It was working until the BDing for this cycle started up... then I got back into TTC mode. I'll be trying my best to keep busy during the TWW so I won't get my hopes up.

TrixieLox: What an interesting way to think about it... you're right... those "experts" have a lot to gain from creating a sense of panic among TTCers. Weschler's such a sympathetic writer that she gained my complete trust... forgot my common sense... I'll remember to take authors' advice w/ a grain of salt.

Nic: I'm happy that you're getting back on the TTC train and trying again. I've been following your journey and you're an inspiration to me. I'm kinda experiencing an opposite situation to yours: Dr told me that I need to GAIN weight to increase my chances of getting P. I've been packing on a lot of fat 'round my tummy so I cannot fit into any of my pants anymore, so haven't been feelin' very sexy lately. But, positive side: get to buy a whole new wardrobe!

Ladies, I couldn't have asked for a better result from this thread. After reading all your wonderful messages and stories, my worries have subsided. I'm starting to get my head around the fact that 8-12 months in my age bracket is completely normal. As I roll these facts around my head a bit more, I know now that I can sustain my faith for as long as it takes to get my .

Great news for you Lu. My dh and I ttc for nearly 3 yrs and had all the tests done. There was no explanation for it. Then we were referred to the IVF clinic while we waited for the app for it I was put on clomid just to see if it could help and the week we had the app, my second month with clomid, we got our bfp. I was 26 and he was 22 when we started ttc so it isn't an age thing necessarily hun. I am sure your time will come. Try relaxing a little and I know it is easier said than done but when I had given up hope was when it happened for us

Lu28: congrats on the brand new !! Seeing that line on the stick must have made the 10 months of TTC melt away... I know that's how I'd feel!! Congrats and hope lots of us will join ya in first tri soon!!

Logiebear: I keep hearing stories like yours, when couples are on the verge of giving up and it just magically happens. I really do think it's the stress/relaxing factor. It definitely is easier said than done but there really does seem to be a correlation.

Hi Sweetie, just wanted to add my two cents and hugs too

DH and I have been trying for almost 3 years. We lost one very early on before we truly began to TTC, which sort of put us on our journey. We realised through the sadness that we really did want a family. So month after month we kept on trying. Then I got a . The feeling is so overwhelming that you can't even put it in words. If you can focus on nothing else, focus on your feelings. Try to picture your end results and the happiness you will feel. As hard as it is, try not to focus on the frustration and anger of BFN.

Sadly we lost our little bean, but even through that I saw hope. We've come so far, and every step, whether good or bad is a step forward.

Sorry to ramble

Just wanted to drop by and say good luck, and im glad the girlies could put your mind at rest

I think there are different ways to looking at the ttc situation, but i think i can remember, lol, the beginning of ttc , you know when you've been at it for a little while and nothing happening, to be the first hurdle...then, you realise you are normal and that it can take a while

I, in my old age (lol!) at 38 try to look at things from the point of view of glass being half full a) i did conceive..albeit mc. b) i am regular and have a very neat 13 day lp (same as yours!!) which im very happy about and c) the longer i try the more likely im to get a bfp!

( although ive been ttc since July 07 not every month has had military style bd sessions and i had a mc in the middle, so if i with my raisin eggs can keep a pma..you can too, sweetie!!! Lol!!! )

You will get there chicken, dont despair. Just keep the faith and work at it- you will get there in the end!!

if only there was some supplement to boost one's patience...

Good luck, bunny!!!

, Omi xxx

6lilpigs: I hope this turns out to be a lucky thread for many of us still TTC, especially those who've been TTC as long or longer than I.

coccyx: don't be silly! You're not gatecrashing... you're joining the party! How interesting... more support for "doggy style"! I will most definitely change up our routine if I have more cycles of BDing comin' up!

NeyNey: What great advice: focus on the wonderful parts of TTC (closeness to DH, the optimism and hope I feel every TWW, visualizing my life w/ a LO...) I'm learning to let go of the anger and frustration. Each cycle, I stay frustrated/angry for shorter periods of time and I'm getting better at not letting it hit me so hard when I get a . Thanks for leaving such a hopeful message. I've followed your journey for several months now and I am continually amazed by your strength and ability to pick yourself up and keep going. You are a shining example for all of us.

Omi: "Raisin eggs"... what a wonderful sense of humour! Your post is bursting with PMA! I'm going to set off to find your TTC journal... it'll be a wonderful source of inspiration and place to go if I ever fall off the PMA wagon!
