| Yes I was on it Tansey up until Dec, so that would have been about 4yrs. It suited me due to getting a dodgy tummy too often and also get chest infections so frequent that I need antibiotics and the patch is still ok through all this. I started monitoring my cycles as like you I was concerned as knew we wanted to ttc straight away. My cycles have ranged from 21-32 days and have now settled down to 24. They have stayed that way for the past 3-4 months. I also did some research, but info is limited. I did find that s statement was released in 2005 about increased levels of exposure to oestrogen...
"According to the FDA, women who use the patch are exposed to 60% more estrogen than those who are taking a more conventional birth control pill. This significantly increased their risk of life-threatening blood clots, fatal heart attacks, pulmonary embolisms, and other serious health problems. Greater exposure to estrogen, the FDA said, is a know risk of blood clots because estrogen promotes blood coagulation."
...but nothing that it affects fertility. In fact everything I have read said it shouldn't, but they would say that.
Type in evra into the search on BnB, there is my thread plus another to get some other peoples thoughts.
Hope this helps Tansey, good luck...x. |
