Oh poop. Guess who is veg? I love soya yoghurts, eat quorn, etc but I have been veggie for yonks and have been pregnant too.

OH eats what I make (mainly veggie stuff too) but may have to pop some meat in to help those spermies.

Interesting thought sweets.

now....I have only been eating quorn for the last 1 maybe 1 1/2 years so maybe there is proof in this. I think i will experiment and do some research of my own - for this month I am going to eat more meat (organic only of course) and ensure that oh does the same - cut out all soya stuff (i eat loads of it) - oh doesn;t eat either - no meat OR soya as he hates it but has only given up meat at my insistence!
is there anything else that i should do? is fish ok?

just to add, Quorn isnt actually soya, it's made from a mushroom protein. Not sure if it contains small amounts of soya though? Anyone checked the ingredients?

Rumpskin, and any other veggie girls, have you thought about what you are going to do about your child in terms of eating/not eating meat?

I'm vegetarian myself but OH isnt - although he doesn't eat very much meat at all, and we've been kind of discussing what we should do about our kids diets. Obviously when they get older, they can pick for themselves what they want to eat, but it's more when they are younger. We've not made any decisions but we do seem to disagree on this...

Just wondered if it was something anyone else had had differences with their OH about this and if they'd come to any decisions?

xxx

I really wanted my kids to be as healthy as possible and we discussed making them veggies. But OH was dead against it - he thought it was a decision that they should make on their own. In the meantime i dont give them any red meat - only chicken and fish. In my own way it is the next best thing.

That's pretty much what my OH says. But my argument is that I'd still be making a decision for them just as much by giving them meat as I would by not giving them meat - if you see what I mean... but he's not convinced!!

I'm sure we'll come to some compromise though - as you seem to have done. Probably just need to focus on getting my BFP first!!
