Just some advice wanted really. Im on my 1st month using CBFM, its my 8th month TTC but Im only on my 5th cycle as i tend to have long cycles. I had a baby girl (who sadly died) 8 months ago....my 1st cycle after was 32 days, the next 31, the next was 35 and last month 64!
Im currently on day 24, and have been showing HIGH on monitor since day 9, but with no peak as of yet. My questions are...

1) Can I have a high and not get a peak (could monitor just be 'guessing' as its my 1st month?

2) The monitor says its only suitable for cycles more than 42 days....does that mean it will stop asking me for tests after a certain amount of days? If so what day will this be on?

3) Does anyone know how likely it is Im not ovulating at all? And if so, what could be the cause?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated sorry for all the questions!

Hi,

I have now got a CBFM but waiting until next cycle starts before I can use it.

My understanding is that it takes a few cycles for it to get used to your body and can give highs but no peaks in the first few months.
But thre re a good few women on here who have been using the monitor for a bit and know so much about them who will probably be able to tell you everything!

hi i have been using cbfm for 3 months now. It uses that first cycle to get to know you and i think everyone gets highs but no peaks. I didnt have a peak until my second cycle. It will only ask for a maximum of 20 tests. Hope this helps.

Yes it will keep asking for sticks until you have used 20 up and you can have all HIGHs. One of the ladies on here got all HIGHs but still got pg!

Hi, I used my CBFM for the first time in june and got 5 or 6 HIGH readings which then went back to low. I used all 20 sticks too. I backed up my high days with CB digi opks and 21/22 were my peak days but only showed HIGH on the monitor.

Incidentally, I did get pg this month but ended in m/c nearly 2 weeks back.

I am using my CBFM for this cycle and have been getting HIGH for the last 2 days but my opks are still neg so wishfully hoping for a peak this cycle.

It does tend to ask for all 20 sticks your first cycle and you may well just get HIGHS, try opks to back up, or just bd like mad throughout!
