Ovulation Testing - advice needed!

Hi..

We've decided to use ovulation kits this month for the first time ... I'm a little un-sure of when to start testing ... My cycles are normally pretty regular, however with my first pregnancy I ovulated on day 12, my cycles are normally 33/34/35 days, but last cycle was a 44 days.

I don't know whether I should start testing on cd 12 this month just in case?

Any advice would be great!

It certainly won't do you any harm if you can afford the tests hun! good luck! xx

If you can afford it i would test early on until you get an idea when you normally OV.

Thanks - I got a cheap batch of tests so think I will start testing early - just to be sure!!! xx

This is what most OPK instructions recommend;
Length of Cycle (LoC) Begin Testing on Cycle Day (T**)

LoC T**
21 6
22 7
23 8
24 9
25 10
26 11
27 12
28 13
29 14
30 15
31 16
32 17
33 18
34 19
35 20
36 21
37 22
38 23
39 24
40 25

Also it does depend on the time of day you test. If youcan and have lots of cheapies it may be worth doing twice a day as sometime the surge will hit late aft and be gone by the following day. I am going to follow this method in Aug as my +ve signs have been a bit random to date with cheapies.
