Question: TTC after natural M/C, still spotting?

Hi everyone.

I had a natural miscarriage last Wednesday and we are strongly considering TTC starting on CD8 (we did a six-day long BD our first time TTC and got a BFP). CD8 would be Wednesday. Well, it's Sunday and I am still spotting.

Has anyone else tried TTC immediately after a m/c while they were still spotting? Thanks!

JM

We waited until the bleeding and spotting seemed to have finished. But I think it's really personal preference. If you and your OH are comfortable then that's the main thing.

As long as your body is healed: go for it

With my m/c I had retained products and an infection after my first d and c, that lead to a second d and c. And then another infection (this time viral) that prevented my body from healing as most would. Took me a while to start feeling physically "okay" again. Otherwise, we would have hopped back on the TTC train right away too. Just please make sure that your hcg levels are below zero first. This will indicate that your body is ready.

I have now had 2 since my miscarriage in May. "Tried" (kind of) last cycle, but my af came.

Good luck to you hun.

I think you should definitely wait until you have stopped bleeding hun - If your cervix is even slightly open you are at risk from infection from anything being put inside you (this is why you also shouldn't use tampons after a mc)

Sorry for your loss xx

You've got a few days before you want to start BDing anyway so wait and see if the spotting has stopped. If your CM is clear by Wednesday there's no reason for you to wait if you both feel ready. Good luck xx

Sorry to hear about your loss hun, I have two baby angels

I would definitely recommend waiting till you stop bleeding before , there is a risk of infection just after a mc ... we waited a cycle before trying again, but everyone feels ready at different times. I wanted to feel emotionally and physically ready before trying again. It's whenevers right for you.

Take care xxx
