I'm Currently Feeling: | BDing during 2WW... Hi Girls,
Have read lots to say that BDing during the 2WW is perfectly safe and can't cause MC. But have also heard that docs recommend no BDing in early pregnancy if you are spotting.
As someone very prone to spotting, I'm now terrified every time my poor DH comes near me during the 2WW. All I keep thinking is "What if I'm pregnant and we're killing the baby?".
I'm probably being stupid...but are there any of you who refrain from dtd 'just-in-case'. I was spotting in Feb when pg, we bd'd and the day after the spotting got heavier. 2 days later I mc'd. Although I'm sure it was just a coincidence, I'm having trouble putting it out of my mind.
What do you all think? |

What do you all think? | I wasn't aware of it causing any harm at all. If you are concerned i would just wait the weeks, so you don't stress yourself out. Good luck |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I agree, if you are worried then don't as you would only feel guilty should anything like that happen again and blame yourself.
Have a foreplay 2ww instead of a rumpy one |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hiya
I'm with Loula. Not sure of the facts behind it, but refrain on a "just in case" basis.
In 2WW at the mo, and had to go for the foreplay option when OH wanted some fun. He did have to check the date to see it wasn't his birthday/christmas etc . |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Oh honey, firstly big
I have developed a slightly 'come what may' attitude to TTC and this month ... and to a degree I'm hoping to continue with it. We BD as and when we want (although it is true I do try to make sure we do it around O!) and I haven't avoided BDing in the TWW - although the egg meets sperm plan does say to avoid it?!?
After reading your experiences I would probably avoid it in early pregnancy if I was spotting a lot but medically I can find no evidence that it increases the chances of m/c
Sorry I have rambled a bit, I think that what I'm trying to say is you have to do what is right for you and what makes you less stressed. not more.
I have found nothing that says BDing in the 2ww is bad, and nothing that says it can cause m/c ... but you have to feel comfortable If you think you would be happier not BDing in the 2ww then don't. I would think that if it was to do anything at all it would be towards the middle/end/implant time of the 2ww it would take effect ... before that the egg is still up above the uterus (I think!!!) |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi hun
BD'ing wont harm your baby when pregnant but if you are spotting docs tell you to refrain to make sure you don't introduce any infection thru your cervix.
Having said that.... I am also of the opinion 'I won't during 2WW just incase'
I know it's a bit silly & has no medical basis whatsoever but im worried that I could shake my potentially fertilised egg loose!
Just do whatever you feel comfortable with hun xx |

I keep getting reminders about it..but when I get PMS and bitchy..no way i am in the mood for fun!!!! And the bitch starts 1 week after ovulation! Oh thnks this is natures way of keeping him away from me during 2ww. ....Hmmmmmmmm
It also makes sense about introducing infection if haveing spot. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | When I m/c in april we did bd in the 2ww, I really did think that could have been the reason for it. This time, we did not bd in the 2ww and it happened again so I dont blame myself anymore for the 1st one.
I personally will not be bd'ing in the 2ww as I dont feel comfortable with it, I too think that maybe we could shake the implanting egg loose!
Do whatever your comfortable with hun. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | the midwife told me that can cause a bleed thru friction in the cervix but 100% wont harm the baby. I think that if they dont know the cause of bleeding then they dont like you to incase it cause u infection
but it doesnt cause mc |
