New to TTC

Hi

I'm a newbie who would like to join in with your forum please!
I'm 37 and my boyfriend is 30. We have only been together for a year but we are as sure as you can ever be that it is for keeps. He is from New Zealand and we are planning to move there in 2-3 years, we already live together......

I had an unplanned pregnancy in early June and miscarried 3 weeks ago at just over 6 weeks. Although it wasn't planned I was devastated and over the next couple of days we agreed to try again properly. Then he had a bit of a wobble and we spent the next two weeks discussing/arguing/researching/making spreadsheets and the outcome has been that we are going to take one month at a time starting ttc after my next period. He definitely wants children with me but it has all been a bit sudden. However, faced with the facts about my fertility at the age of 37 he would rather try now than risk not having any - he has already had to reduce his ideal family of 3 children down to 2. So it's been traumatic month but we are ready to ttc. I am not going to chart as I am pretty confident that monitoring my CM will be enough and I don't want to put additional pressure on ourselves yet.

Hx

Good luck! Maybe you'll get triplets and then you could give him the 3 kids he wants and only give birth once :P

Hi Halle

I wish you lots of luck with your TTC, sorry to hear that you have had a mc, I had a mc in May (I'm an even older TTC than you). I agree about using CM, apparently its a good indicator and you can get stressed with detailed charts etc. I am charting at the mo but only for a couple of cycles as they have been irregular since my mc. I'll then stop cos getting stressed!
