Cool

Ovulation tests???

Can anybody tell me how ovulation tests work? Its the first time I have tried them this month. I have a 26day cycle so started them on day 9 like it says, trying same time each day, letting wee get to room temp doing all it says but yesterday I got a second faint line but instructions says this is false unless its same or darker than the control line and today I have just done one and the line is darker than yesterday but still not as dark as control line. Could this mean that each day the darker the line the closer to ovulation I am getting?

If your lines are getting darker then ovulation is definitely fast approaching! so grab your OH & get BDing right away!!

Don't wait tho - as the surge can happen pretty fast so by the time you test again tomorrow the line could be gone.

Good luck hun xx

Hi

It was my first month using them as well and that is what happened to me i had a faint line 1 very dark line then back to faint lines i only just caught the line though i wasnt expecting to ov for another week so i guess i would of had faint lines days before as the LH surge is building up

I have done another today (3rd day) and again the line is darker nearly as dark as control line. Had and will do tonight hoping ovulation is about to happen so ready and waiting will it still get darker tomorrow and how long do we need to keep having for?
Does a positive test mean you are ovulating or about to?

Thanks.

I may be wrong but I thought that a positive test meant that ovulation was imminent?

The LH surge happens before you ovulate, so once you get a positive it means you will o within 24/36 hours
