Thanks girls! I've been taking no chances and have been on daily BD duty since yesterday (CD 11), and also on Saturday (CD 9) so hopefully we'll be in with a good-ish chance of fertilisation.

This is the first time I've ever used an OPK so I've not had any experience with light and dark lines, although the leaflet said the light line meant I hadn't ovulated yet. I had a bit of a temp dip yesterday at CD 11 (usually 36.1 - 36.4) to 35.9, and wondered if this was a pre-ovulation dip, but I'm still at 36.1 today. I was going to start testing anyway at day 12, and would have tested yesterday after that dip, but I'd already weed and thought I'd save the test till today, seeing as we were goingto BD daily anyway. I figure daily BD for the next few days and hopefully that'll do it!

Another faint line today, possibly fainter than yesterday's. I'm reassuring myself that we started BD on CD 9 so even if I've missed the ovulation through testing yesterday and today, I'll hopefully still be in with a chance. Temp still normal at 36.3 so I guess the most likely scenario is I'm still to ovulate in the next day or so. Apparently 'girl' (XX) sperms live longer so if you BD lots before you ovulate, they're all ready and waiting for the egg and there are less of the 'boy' (XY) sperms which don't live as long. Boy sperms are also apparently faster so if you only BD at the time of ovulation you're more likely to have a boy. It's be interesting to see how many of us who were BD lots before ovulation had girls!

I swing between wanting a son and then a daughter, but in reality, I'd be thrilled to bits with either. I think I'd be too nervous to try only BD at the time of ovulation in case I missed it and anyway, I'm quite liking the idea of a daughter at the mo' so I can dress her up in pink sparkly fairy stuff and bake cakes etc with her!

A darker line on the OPK today (First Response) although not as dark as the control. Temp still 36.2, think I'll probably ovulate in the next day or so (CD 14 from usual 28-30 day cycle).

Another line today, darker still but no as dark as the control line. I have 1 OPK test left and am hoping that tomorrow's line will be as dark or darker than the control so I don't have to go out and buy more OPKs!

I finally have a line that is darker than the control, and just in time - this was my last OPK test! Have been BD nightly for the last 5 days and will continue for the next couple so here's hoping for good news in a couple of weeks!
