Girls how long should we be TTC before we go to the Doc and have fertility tests or sperm tests done????? |

I'm Currently Feeling:  | Hey....
To be honest I think after 6 months you can go and get blood work done to see if your ovulating etc...but I thinkits a year/2 years before you get refered to fertility specialists.
I could be wrong but I am sure there are many people on this site who will know for sure that will post!

I'm Currently Feeling: | Awww thanks a mill xx I've only registered with a new doc, so I might go up and have a word with one of them, suppose I could make an appointment really with the nurse??? as it's 6 months now so no harm in having bloods taken etc., thanks again x |

| In the UK, it's 1 year. I was naughty at 6 months and pretended I'd been trying for 1 year. Sad thing is, the results were all fine but not long till we would've actually been trying for a year! x |

Hmmmm I like the idea of being naughty I mean how would they actually know  hmmm I'm only in the Uk since March, I've only been to the GP once just for a health check which was a crock of shite as all he asked me were questions I even told him I was epileptic an he asked no questions didn't even check my medication tegretol levels, didn't even ask me was I taking my medication, just asked ques like, is there a history of heart illnesses in family so forth??? Strange |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I think usually its a year but if yr over 30 and feel time is running out, had an std or abdominal surgery they may do basic tests after 6 months of trying. (I read that somewhere but can't remember where now!!)
My DH and I thought about saying we'd been trying for a year but I only had the coil taken out in December and obviously that'll be in my notes!!!!! |
